Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge! I’m a pool tech and I have done a few start ups where the builder doesn’t program these and usually the owners have to hire someone else. Needles to say I’m learning little by little. Thank you!
Thank you very much Sr. My Nephew moved the timings and settings on my module …. After two weeks, my pool had lots of green algae. It tours out, he messed up the programming …. But now, thanks to you, I will be able to program it again….
You explained it very well, however, there’s lots of old timers here 😂, and we are not fast like you, but overall is very well explained. I’m going to watch it few times because I’m programming a new system right now and I need to make sure I don’t mess up. Thank you again!
My setup is just like yours but I cant seem to set the colors on the pool light separately from the spa light. I can control them (on/off) separately since theyre on differeny relays but if I set the pool light to red, the spa will also turn to red and vice versa. Circuit functions is also set to intellbrite for both lights.
I have an easy touch 4, but i am not getting any voltage to the red rectifier wires so my panel seems to have no power. The main breakers do have 240 coming in and everything is wired properly. I tried swapping the high voltage transformer but that didn't work. I also tried swapping the spare 4th relay with the first relay but no luck w that either. Any suggestions on what to look for?
My pool builder upgraded my panel from an Easy Touch 4 to an 8 due to the number of lights I wanted on separate zones. My question is would the Intelicenter have been a better choice? The price was a lot more money for the base, then you have to purchase everything separate, however, it does include the wireless and it come with the app vs Easy Touch 8, you have to purchase those separately, again the price was a big jump. What are your thoughts since you installed Easy Toch 8 in 2021 and not opt to go with Intelicenter? Am getting an old technology using the screen logic 2?
The IntelliCenter is definitely smarter and has more options because you can set things in groupings. You can call it John’s party mode and tell set what you want to come on in that mode. They both work well on wireless the IntelliCenter just has more smart options. You have to decide if it’s worth the price for the smart options. Easy Touch 8 is pretty amazing minus not doing the groupings
Can you explain a little more about how to do my multiple speeds on the pump at multiple times? On the pump itself you have the options of speeds 5-8 to be programmed and then set a start and stop time for each one. So speed 5 can be 2700 rpms from 9a to 12p and then you can set speed 6 ar 1200rpms from 12p to 9p type of thing. How do I need to think about doing that on this big system as well? I want different speeds on the pool pump at different times but don't know how to convert what I used to do on the pump itself to what you do on this panel.
Yes I can make that as a video soon. You have to set you circuit names, then circuit functions. Once you do both of these you set your intelliflow speeds. Once you have circuit names they show in intelliflow speeds and you pick each speed. Then you set your schedules from those speeds. I’ll make a video for just that.
Thanks for the video. In order for the heat to come on for the hot tub, do I have to turn the hot tub on? I put the heat on to 100 degrees, but the water doesn’t warm up.
My pool builder installed a Pal Color Touch receiver and transmitter to control/change lighting. Under Circuit Functions- Lights, should I still select Intellibright? Generic is currently showing. The lights were working fine the last 2 years, but are not coming on now and controlled by the remote.
I honestly have never tried to put one of these on an Easy Touch. I would try putting it as a generic and then config the light. If that doesn’t work try intellibright
No that will not work the default is 12 hours. If you want it to run non stop set a schedule for 23.59 hours that is the only way to make it run all day every day
Several possibilities Number 1 it has to be in spa mode sucking from spa returning to jets Number 2 you need either a blower or air loop to get lots of air Air loop is plumbed in and you cut a whole in it to suck in air Blower is tied into a relay. If you have a blower figure out which relay turns it on and then label it blower. Then you can turn that in after spa is moving water through jet lines.
@@diypoolguy2974 It's a handheld remote. I finally got it to communicate by powering off the main panel and back on so the antenna lights lit up. But, now it seems there is an ERR for the Spa temp, may need an electrician for that.
@@natalieperez4267 we can upgrade you to the phone model when your ready but not sure why the spa temp would be off. That is odd. Usually the air or water temp not just the spa temp
@@diypoolguy2974 The phone model would not be good since it's my Father's house, super senior, not good at all with tech. I'm visiting from NY. The water temp is way off too, pool says 255 degrees with heat off.
Almost too fast. You explained the devices/pumps but I was specifically interested in how to set up (configure) motorized valves and you forgot completely these important steps to complete the configuration for the actuators of the valves to be aligned to redirect water flow to either heat the pool or the Spa... Please add that.
