An installer here. Just know that the remote touchscreens must be plugged into an outlet within maybe 5-10 feet away. If you try to splice it to an old wired keypad location and splice the power supply in the closet the remote battery will drain and it will fail. It's because the power supply can't send enough juice over long wire runs.
Great video, thanks ! I've been trying to install First Alert ZCOMBO alarm with Qolsys IQ Panel 2+ and haven't been successful. Qolsys doesn't seem to recognize it. Any suggestions how to make it work ?
how can I set iq2 to not allow arming the system in any mode if a sensor is open? Presently it arms the system even if the sensor is open. It just notifies me which sensor is open then it bypasses that sensor. When I had the pulse system it did not allow me to arm the system if a sensor was open. I first had to close that sensor. I want to make it work the same way on iq2. Kindly help me
Hey Joe, Start by swiping down the menu from the top, once in that menu, press "Settings" enter your "Installers code" (Default is 1111), next, press "Advanced Settings", then "Installation", next press "Security and Arming", once in that menu scroll down to "Auto Bypass" and change the current setting for "Auto bypass".
Hello, my IQ panel doesn’t have the install option. Do you know what I need to do to make that option available to my panel? Unfortunately I am getting the run around from my installer on this issue.
You would need the installer or dealer code to access the install option. Your dealer would have to provide or if not under contract find another dealer.
