Do you know of any good books or websites that my 7-year-old can use to build/code with his Boost set? We went through all of the builds on your website, which were very good, but now he's wanting more. Thanks.
Tutorials on youtube, (inc. ideas) programming in scratch or boost app, and probably you can find some ideas mostly online, books are not worth it. Atleast i think that.
Very useful. One thing I haven't figured out is to use the camera as a proximity sensor. I can only tell it to sense a color, not when the robot it's running into an arbitrary object or a wall.
i know i might be a little too late. but try to make 2 cameras, one of them identifies the color that it's pointing at, by using several individual blocks that change a variable to a very rounded value (blue, red, green) and then the second camera identifies if the color is darker than the usual, by subtracting the first value gathered by the camera by 25 or 50. but if the first camera identifies it as black or white, then it would work as well
i have been trying and trying on two different systems ( mac and surface ) but i cant seem to get scratch to talk to vernie . It keeps telling me that check the Bluetooth and scratch link are up and running. very frustrating. and clues how to troubleshoot this?
@@ekaggrat Reinstall Scratch Link to the latest version. Bluetooth 4 with Scratch link 1.3.0 didn't work. It works with 13.67. I installed from the microsoft store.
@@DawidMarasek by god it is the shitiest app ever created and that too from MIT. I htink they need to get their act right. NO it wont connect on any platform or any version of any os. the forum is also full of this complaint. IN fact you are the only person to have it working that i can find online. congratulations on finding GOD. :(
"My Bluetooth is on but it does not found the lego hub" Hint: Install Scratch instead of using the web browser. BTW I hate it that microsoft stops the original app for windows :/
Great videos Dawid - Unfortunately I'm also having no success connecting either of my 2 Win 10 laptops (both ~1 year old) to my kids new boost kit. First time we started the hub we had to update the hub firmware to get it working at all - Maybe there a problem with the newer firmware that wasn't there for the older one - does your Boost still work ok with Win 10?
