In case you didn't know, the goblins playing games in the Thrilladrome are actually the same goblins in the boss room that have the arc cannons. So if you don't kill them in the arcade you can use their cannons against the boss.
If you clear that lost sector before meeting Sam then Ghost will remark how novel it is to have an entire building dedicated to entertainment, saying, "Can you imagine what it must be like to have free time to spend playing video games?"
You forgot the fact that the raid abbreviation for The Root of Nightmares is TRON. Which Neomuna looks reminiscent to the grid as it is a futuristic cityscape, and the arcade lost sector having a portal to the grid
The killing the trailer guardians was such a shock once pointed out, they might not of been main characters like cayde, zavala, emperor thickums but had the same energy of always being around. Next season or dlc could we get a memorial for them
Kinda awkward that Colonel is hopping around at the new memorial in the Tower since you can still see her in the Tower hanger where Cayde used to be, meaning she’s seemingly in two places at once. So either there’s actually two chickens in the Tower who look exactly alike, the Vex sent her traveling through time for some reason, or the Nine are messing with us even more than usual.
You spoke about winterbite but missed that the glaive itself is a Doom reference, the perk on it is "Big Frigid Glaive" or BFG for short, which is the name of the iconic super weapon from doom (Big Fu***** Gun) the ice blast even behaves similarly to the plasma projectile from the doom BFG, except that one vaporizes and winterbite just freezes
people were also saying its likely that the projectile that comes from winterbite was probably supposed to come from salvations grip (which actually looks like a bfg)
remember, the Guardian fireteam isn’t the original team, the original team probably is still decked out in TTK stuff considering that’s the last we saw of them, this new fireteam technically was seen in the VoG curse of osiris opening cutscene, so it could be assumed the raid team consisted of both fireteams
I don't think we see TTK fireteam in the VoG scene, only the new one. I think they are still MIA and presumed dead since their trailer ends with them about to fight Oryx. And considering our guardian(s) kick him back to his throne world/room at the raid final boss room later...
You forgot a very easy missed easter egg; in the cutscene when the witness gets mad at calus, calus's head starts bleeding; could say this is the reference to that once scene in the fifth element when one of the enemies head starts bleeding because he's communicating with some evil meteor
I dunno if I’d call it easily missed, he pissed off the witness, the witness makes him begin to bleed profusely. Not really an Easter egg, more I’d say a window into seeing the witnesses powers. Like watching him flick his wrist and cut a ghost into pieces
Something i would like to point out, during the first mission later in before you land in Neomuna, the hangers are arranged in subtle nods to the way ships are hangered in the Truth and Reconciliation mission. My friends pointed out that the purple ships are aligned like the Covenant drop ships. Also NOT REALLY a possible nod, but with the halo referencing it made us think of it: the drop pod section and landing away from osiris hits like your first start up of Halo 3 Odst
@@VinnyFromTheBurb YES DUDE, I was wondering the same exact thing because yeah I can get behind the fact that from the outside it looks like there’s no possible way to see but considering how advanced Cabal Technology is, that drop pod part was such a huge miss to see outer space again from that POV
There's also another Asher Mir easter egg when you stand next to quinn in the hall of heroes, she also talks about a vex transmisson in more than 100 languages which translate into “Assistant”. I hope we get titan and Io back
Gotta love my big [redacted] gun! For those unaware, they call the BFG that at least once in one of the newer games (2016 I think), just one of my favourites things about the games
The Easter egg about the OG fireteam being dead is slightly wrong. Technically the fireteam from the D1 Live action release trailer is not the fireteam we see in Lightfall. The Titan in that trailer is make while the one that appears in season of the seraph and Lightfall is female. It does match up with the team we in the Curse of Osiris cutscene though
There are probably two, the first one is from the live action trailers of vanilla d1 and taken king, and the second one from the CJI trailer of vanilla d1, course of osiris, season of seraph and lightfall.
I only cleared crown maybe 3 times. Never got the Shadow title. Started playing D2 during shadowkeep and he called me shadow on my playthrough of the LightFall campaign. I don't think it's tied to the title.
im glad you noticed the arcade one, but it isn't just some throwaway easter egg, these people know more than they let on. I have been starting to wonder about all those alternate clovis timelines, maybe we shouldnt be so confidant they cant become real.
I don't think the original cinematic team is dead since the Titan that is shown is female since the Titan from the cinematics is a bit more bulky and the warlock and hunter weren't shown at all so they're probably still alive to along with the Titan and the 1 that died is a different 1
During one of the patrols an NPC says the line "These stem bolts aren't going to seal themselves" which is a reference to the 100 gross of self-sealing stem bolts that Quark had in cargo bay 11 on DS9 and could never find a buyer for.
Also there is a mural in the thrilla dome that looks like it's the traveler terraforming and there are multiple arms and heads reaching upwards set over what looks like a lotus flower... It matches the new raid gear, especially the warlock's.
I played the campaign on three characters, and Calus called me shadow all three times. I only even played season of opulence on my titan, but I got called shadow on all three characters still 🤨
@@Jirito I never played Opulence and he has called me Shadow on all playthroughs so far. It may be because I had Opulence (Got Destiny 2 Disk w/ all expansions in Forsake)
If we do go back to Titan, we will either find Sloan alive, who's rocking an amazing suit of armor... or we will have to fight Sloan, who's rocking an amazing suit of armor.
None of these are Easter eggs, they're references. Easter eggs aren't lore bits or things that are just funny. They are things that shouldn't be there by definition, that's what makes it in Easter egg. I'll show myself the door now
dumb thing i noticed about the cabal drop pods is that ingame they usually drop like 3-4 enemies, yet visually only 1 can fit inside. also thats not the same fireteam we saw. the titan had fur around his neck. the cutscene that one did not.
Summoner from D2 revived as Warlock threadling, Titanfall 2 smart pistol got introduced, the frozen orb from Diablo 2 is also in destiny 2 in the Glaive...
I've not seen anyone point out that the first light on the wall you see when you're dropping down a level inside Calus's ship is literally the Marathon logo
D1 fireteam is not the same as D2 fire team. The warlock is a white lady in D1 and a black man in D2. The hunter is a white guy in D1 and a white lady in D2. The titan is a black guy in D1 and white guy in D2. The D2 trio are dead, not D1 trio.
You mention the vanguard/quest not making much difference, but literally yesterday I just noticed ikora saying stuff like" your wavering loyalty to the vanguard does not go unnoticed " and stuff about trust
Okay there's a bug then. Calus called me his shadow even though I didn't play literally any part of that season. I assumed he was just referencing that where ever he goes, some how we're right there behind him. Sharpening our knives.
I don't believe that's the OG fireteam dying. I still think they're alive...being us. Goofing off and having fun on Neomuna. Heck they're probably just having fun with strand as we speak
You don't need the Shadow title for the special dialogue! I sure didn't get it, and didn't even touch Crown of Sorrow. Maybe a few Hard runs of the Opulence activity, and I got him calling me his Shadow!
I don’t have the Shadow title but I did play during that time and did the raids and menagerie during that time and he still called me his Shadow. So I think it’s more if you played during that year/time.
I actually did like asher, he was the only one who wanted to explain the science of everything in destiny and it was awesome, now none of it is explained and just chocked up to "its magic" even tho its not actually magic
The Guardians that died in that cutscene aren’t the OG guardians. I’d say it’s pretty obvious, but it seems Destiny players can’t remember basic details long enough to realize that. The genders of the guardians are different and so is the armor.
There are not many shadows out there. Thankfully I was taught by one and the most knowledgeable teacher I could ask for. If you see that title there almost always a good player (unless they got carried by their clan).
the Calus shadow easter egg isnt that complex to get i played managerie and never got the shadow title or did any of the hard mode triumps yet i still got him calling me shadow.
The droppod part of the mission was not only an Easter egg to kill the cabal but also an Easter egg to bungies old game halo 3 odst. If you noticed something which probably most people didn't Neomuns is pretty simular to New Nimbasa . And the first mission on halo 3 odst " the rookie ", You drop down from a unsc friget down to New Nimbasa same as going to Neomuna. But also if you look on the wall of New Nimbasa there is a sign that's says destiny awaits. Well that sign is 2 Easter eggs combined into one. It was referencing destiny being on the poster , but it also shows the same cut scenes of the darkness surrounding the traveler in the opening of lightfall
