This video shows shorts of arrivals of Knuckey Lagoon, a seasonal fresh water wetland near Darwin with September usually the best time to visit, as more and more birds arrive from August onward. Also another short clip of Odonata (Dragon and Damselflies). I have started to document this group for the past few months and have so far covered just over 30 local species. Closing this video with a species of the Macrogyrus genus or Whirligig Beetle a weird and wonderful insect.
In the meantime in Darwin we currently enjoy the annual arrival of migratory shorebirds arriving from far places such as Siberia and China. The next video will sample them in September.
