Project - Build a base for a Keter Shed and then build the shed

My Mother in Law bought us a plastic Keter Factor 6 ft. x 3 ft. Outdoor Storage Shed. My sons and I built a wooden base for it out of pressure treated lumber and then assembled the shed together. The whole thing took about 4 hours to complete.

what function does the base serve? something to weigh it down so it doesn't blow away while empty?

It gives it a flat and stable surface to sit on and lifts it off the ground. The place where we set it up is angled for drainage.

Since the original area was angled, how did you build the base to be flat, juts inserted pieces underneath to make it flat? Thanks.

It's only a slight angle and that is why I built this base, so that the shed would have something flat to sit on.

It's only rained a couple of times since we put it up but it hasn't leaked yet.

@FunWithWoodWorking, planning to pick up the same shed. What are the advantages with adding the wood base even on a flat cement? Is it so water doesn't touch the floor? Thanks!

The place where I built it is not flat. It is slightly angled for drainage. I built the frame to compensate for the angles and to keep it up above any water.
