I think the dynamic weather and graphics of DriveClub is much better, but if this is the only driving game that comes to Project Morpheus, then I'm going to get it. DriveClub + GT7 + The Crew + Project CARS PS4 is truly for the players. :)
Hugo Stiglitz Yes you're right it will have weather day 1 just an issue with bad sources on my part, still not as advanced as PCARS though in terms of how it occurs and the levels of grip change
Kl0zi9999 I suggest you do some research first. Watch DriveClub's stage demo at Gamescom 2014. You could even control how the weather will change during the race. The graphics of DC is so good that you can see the droplets of rain splashing as they touch the ground when you go photo mode. Also, refrain from commenting that a game has better controls than the other if you haven't actually played both games. I am not saying that DC is better that PCARS. I am actually looking forward to how PCARS would be integrated to Project Morpheus. I just don't think that it is right to go spouting words without good knowledge about a game.
when I saw Driveclub for the first time , I was so into it because I wanted race game on my PS4, and not the hilarious need for speed . but driveclub isn't simulator and that disappointed me little bit because ,come on- there are plenty of car lovers out there who like the details, sounds, real car handling and overall CARS, and people who want next gen graphic simulator car/racing game! I think im going for project cars!!!
Sigh... Any! Third person game. With PM would be turned INTO a first person. So you saying "Virtual reality is pointless without a first person perspective ," is irrelevant. That comment was retarded
I've been watching +SlightlyMadStudios since day 1 on this. I'm honestly glad that they pushed the game back a few times. I played the alpha. It wasn't ready.
People call it micro-transasctions and see it as something negative. In a way it is but it is also understandable that this is more and more the way to go with games like Pcars. Because in future, for games like Pcars it is the only way to add extra cars and tracks. The license for Ferrari content is up into 6/7 figures you must pay, so this is why Ferrari is not in Pcars at this moment. Also exclusive deals in this industry such as EA has with Porsche are making it almost impossible for other companies to add Porsche content in their games, if they don't charge extra for it using micro-transactions. Also the news that Polyphony has now FIA licensed tracks and championships, will not help other developers. See latest news about FIA sending out cease and desist letters to modding companies. There is a lot of money involved in racing even if it is simracing/ racinggames. There where money is involved there are lawyers protecting copyrights owned by companies or organisations like FIA. By selling exclusive rights to one developer, they need to do everything to keep it as exclusive as possible, otherwise it is worth less to nothing. Only the future will tell what this is going to do for the (sim)racing/carchase games............One thing is sure it is not going to be getting cheaper for devs to have certain high demanded content in their games and as a result it is not going to be cheaper for us gamers. But you always have the choice to buy or not to buy DLC and it is up to the devs not to create to much of a difference between gamers with paid DLC and gamers that don't have paid DLC.
Martin Kortekaas This i what i Don't understand wouldn't porsche and ferrari want their cars in these games. Sounds like ferrari gets paid and get advertising. Ferrari should pay them for the advertising.
DaCoDSlayRPS3 why should logitech wheel users downgrade to that crap or why should we even fork out more money just 4 one game...t5000 rs in not much of an updrade for g27 users....and the tx wheel is garbage overpriced especially with those pedals...
I agree on the tx being crap but the t500 is much better than the g27 and the price has came down alot so aint a bad option either that or build a pc which Will cost a lot more
DaCoDSlayRPS3 the t500 is only a little bit better than a g27 so it does not warrant a 340 pound purchase over the g27...i have a pc anyway but would rather play on ps4...but ahh well pc it will be.
I love the thought of starting in karting and making my way to F1 (I'm an F1 fan) not sure why the official F1 games do that, makes it more satisfying when you get there!. But after a few seasons in f1 switching to touring cars or Le Mans sounds brilliant.
This game would be UNBELIEVABLE with the car seat, steering wheel, pedals, etc. AND the Morpheus. Add in some good headphones and you would feel exactly like you're there!
Playing Project Cars with Project Morpheus sounds amazing! I really hope it comes out at a reasonable price. I don't think I could justify spending more than $200 on a peripheral. Especially if there are very few games that support it.
I'm really looking forward to this game! I have DRIVECLUB which is a fun, pick me up arcade type game, but I want something more realistic to sink my teeth in to. Hopefully Project Cars can deliver.
This game is better then any other racing game because it has everything from the classics to the Le Mans. It would be a lot better with free roam. I'll get this over the crew any day.
This game looks amazing. I am not even into racing games. But I think I will get on board with this one. Especially if there is oculus or morpheous support
Just been playing project cars playing le mans track with rvf gt3. ultra settings with anisotrophic settings at 16x with high anti-aliasing my god this is going to blow peoples minds this is amazing. remember the first time you played not gran turismo 1 or 2. gran turismo 3. i think. remember how it felt how real it felt. even thou it has that roller coaster effect. still it impressed. well you havnt seen nothing yet.. your going to be very happy. very very happy. :)
i have a good feeling that Project Cars will deliver the ultimate driving experience. One thing that i want to know, we can be requited by racing team in career mode but can we build our own team like in GRID? That is one feature that i love the most from GRID and i will love to see it here.
It looks outstanding I also like how they have multiple cultures of cars because I'm bit of a muscle car person but it needs to benefit people who like hyper cars.
I really like that these guys are actually interested in input from people who'll be playing the game. I think that's been one of the biggest problems with the GT series. Along with Painfully slow development time and little to show for it. It really wouldn't surprise me if Polyphony still put PS2 car models in GT7. They've got themselves stuck a generation behind. Goodbye Gran Turismo, hello Project Cars.
It seems that Driveclub is the game to compare with. Everyone is talking about the weather effects...I will too. Especially the part where the water dynamically moves about your windscreen based on the attitude of your car.
The only thing that worries me about no XP or earning points/money to buy cars is that I'll have no motivation to really play. The luxury of driving any car you want on any track seems like it would get stale very quick. Unless I'm wrong and there is a leveling mode?
This game looks absolutely amazing! I really hope they include muscle cars and a lot vintage racing as well, like Trans Am Series (Ford, Chevrolet, Dodge, AMC) of the '70s, among many other vintage European racing too using vintage Jaguars, BMWs, Ferraris! I've seen some old Indy style cars so it looks like some vintage racing will be in the game! I'd also love to see some really old racing like the Vanderbilt Cup in 1904 NYC and Rhode Island which Mr. Vanderbilt had pitted various European cars like Mercedes (Not yet merged with Benz) racing against American cars to prompt American automobile manufactures to build better cars with technology they would gain from racing! I love racing period it doesn't matter to me how old or where the cars are from, but the older racing history really intrigues me! I just get tired of every racing game trying to do the same thing with Exotic Supercars like Lambos, Ferraris, Audi R8, Aston Martins, Bugatti Veyrons, etc. I love these cars too but they just get old being in every racing game! How about racing a Bugatti from the 1920s or a Mercedes from 1905, or an 1930s Audi (which was known back then as the German Auto Union).
***** Sounds like Drive Club is more like what you are after. This game was never supposed to be anything more than a full sim experience based on car physics above everything else, which it succeeds at rather well. I would encourage everyone who wants a Need for Speed sort of arcade game to avoid this game as it will never offer that sort of experience. Sim players will love it but everyone else will probably hate it.
I totally agree with you :-) No reason why we shouldn't have lots of cool options in any sim racers. Its been a while but I really enjoy playing GTR as well as a few others on the PC with a wheel. Still love the Gran Turismo games as well. Cheers ! :-)
I loved the Gran Turismo series. I have played all of the games so far and enjoyed every one of them ( even though they have their faults), but Project Cars! If what they're saying in the forums, interviews and showing in the demos is true, and all will be in the game upon release, I will gladly buy it ( with Oculus/Project Morpheus) . It looks fantastic and it is an almost new approach to the racing simulator
I cant wait for this project cars and GT7 are the only reason I got the ps4 and partnered with the T500 and TR8 shifter with project Morpheus I would be happy for the rest of my life
Multiplayer definitely is in the game, but I don't think there will be any pink slip races. Also you can't BUY a car in the game, so you obviously can't loose it at pink slips.
I'm 100% sure that this game will be the benchmark for all driving/racing simulators, I believe even Gran Turismo are not up to the level of realism that Project CARS in going to bring(and I played both), this game is not about hype, it is gonna happen.
I want to see a game with a online tournament mode that has set times that people can progress through, Kinda like poker, golf or even real life racing. Have a weekly and monthly champ.
The one thing I miss from when I was an Xbox player is Forza, I don't miss it enough to buy an xbone- but having this on ps4 will hopefully make up for a lack of Forza
I just want deep, deep customisation. Forza was alright on 360 (don't own a One so I can only go on the 360 ones) for customisation but for most cars you couldn't change the way they looked. If people are racing online then customisation and making a car that fits you and that you love the look of is what it's all about.
Hey Rob, I know this is a very old video, but can you please ask your mate Andy from SlightlyMad Studios on why are they not supporting Project Morpheus (or as they call it PSVR now :p). I love pCARS and I have ordered a PSVR only (ok, mainly) for this game. I understand things happen and they have to cancel their plans, but I really want to know what went wrong here and why is pCARS not coming for PSVR as it is one of my favourite racing games on PS4.
IF your on PC check out Assetto Corsa. Almost unplayable with a controller because the driving is so realistic you really need a wheel. But WOW. The graphics and sound are incredible!
I would be great for them to make a racing game that is a simulator but you have the option to get off the track and drive on a open road and if you are driving a car thats not street legal like a f1 car etc, cops will chase you
Sorry to say, but a game that is 1080p/30fps won´t work on Project Morpheus very well! 1. 30fps is bare minimum for a Racing game on its own, but with VR? To get a enjoyable VR experience you need as little latency as possible! Even 60 or even 75fps isn´t perfect for virtual reality! 2. If the game runs at 1080p on the TV it means that each eye gets ~720p on the Morpheus if its done right! The PPI is far too low if you sit ~7-10 cm away from the display! You will see each individual pixel! I really like the concept of this game getting VR support, but sadly the PS4 isn´t powerful enough to create the experience needed... I´m sorry to say, but it doesn´t seem like it will be a good VR experience...
Project Cars isn't Sony. It is Slightly Mad Studios that is doing the game itself, although they are having Bandai Namco handle publishing for the console versions.
An ultimate racing game should include the most realistic driving physics, damage, rain drop, and other effects. I want to see how realistic a racing game can gp
