It looks like they just took the Ex or ExEx star ratings of arcade mode and slapped them onto mix mode. PoPiPo is pretty easy, and songs like Unhappy Refrain and Rolling Girl are much harder imo
I use my thumbs for the L/R and ZL/ZR buttons and for hitting doubles I slide the z button onto the trigger in one motion. I don't use the strap connecting piece as that just adds bulk to the controller. I kinda grip the controller in a way as if you're giving a thumbs up. Set the sensitivity as low as you possibly can while being able to reach both ends while not straining your arm at all (for me, it's usually default 0 but sometimes -1 or +1). Your rotation should be like turning a doorknob. I also lean into my hits sometimes, but it only helps a little bit - if at all. I also tend to try to keep my elbows pinned to my sides or the chair arms. For regular hits, I usually use the triggers, but that's personal preference. Lastly, play around with the hit sounds. Wood block sounds works best for me and Sach.
wolverinedoctorwho I think there was something wrong with the demo version of mix mode. it was terrible, but once I got the game, it seemed a lot easier.
when i use mix mode, the joycons have a seizure and i can never hit the notes edit: the problem was that the joycons were not set and player 1, and i wasn’t holding them right ^_^;; please excuse my dumbness
I just got excellent on future tone extreme, u definetly deserve more attention bcuz ur videos are amazing, it's incredible how u got excellent on one of the hardest songs in megamix mode, it's really a achievement for u probably Oh and BTW, u deserve my sub and like
Are you supposed to move the joycons left and right for mix mode? I always have to mine move up and down,up and down no matter how I hold them, and it’s super confusing. Just wondering bc usually see people move left and right with them.
I personally don't like the asymmetrical layout of the controller for arcade mode, especially being used to a DS4 controller frim Future Tone, but from what I hear from Hisokee and others they hold up pretty well on difficult songs
