It was time to insulate the loft and install the floor. Not sure how I'm going to use it, but for sure it will be very useful space. Once the big window is installed and the roof insulated, the cabin is ready to use.
For me, the ideas in ru-vid.comUgkxAfqpMLyFn37qcqUl0FAzqkkycQeXqrhP Plans were a starting point for building different sheds . Ryan gives ideas that allow an individual to draw nicest conclusions into the design and building of his or her own shed.
Excelente trabajo!
Very nice, you do amazing work. It would make a neat sleeping loft even for adults...lol, provided they didn't sit up too fast and knock their selves out but kid's, they'd love it. Above the closets in the cabin we built (cathedral ceilings so not to waste the space) we built a storage space. Built doors matching the wood walls so I can invision a lift up door to enclose the loft or to hide whatever you may store up there. Stay safe, be careful, take it easy and keep warm/dry.
Sucesso no canal. Forte Abraço.
You'll probably want to install some kind of safety railing before you let the kids have any sleepovers in the loft - saying this as someone who has vivid memories of being 10 years old and waking up mid-air as I was falling out of a very tall bunk bed. ;-)
Ihan nollasta aloitin, mutta pikkuhiljaa alkaa jotkin liitokset osumaan kohdilleen. Olen media-alalla yrittäjänä, eli rakennushommista en tiedä mitään :)
I love watching your videos! Thank you for sharing your hard work. I am curious. Why is so much of the tongue on your tongue and groove boards still exposed (on the outside)? Is this typical In FInland? The tongue and groove boards here in the U.S. are milled so the boards fit closer together - more like the wood you used on the inside.
*What kind of insulation is used - strips between the construction timber & the big one in the ceiling construction - please?* *Thanx a lot for your efforts!*
If you don’t mind the lazy question, I watch some of your videos but not all: were the loft boards power jointed/planed? Been doing mostly hand tool hobby work, and I can’t imagine doing that many boards by hand plane lol
Hello, You are right, kids love to sleep on lofts of cabin. BtW, when joining these profiled boards, don't cut them in same lenght, make joint "zig-zag". One shorter, one longer and on next row, swich longer and shorter. This A) looks better, B) prevents "wall" from moving separately. TIP: This freezing days are best for catching pike :)
@@FinnishPlayground It's my understanding that it's much easier to harvest bark when the sap is running, so in the summer. Also wet weather helps at it's more flexible. Ideally you harvest from trees you plan to fell later, but they can survive well if you don't go too deep. This is of course easier to do when the bark comes off without a fight.
