Always a good movie to watch, I've seen it several times now and it's always refreshing to see and remember how it used to be in the "good, old days" when imagination and the thirst for adventure were important in a normal person's life. This movie brings back some very, nice memories .. thanks for downloading it!

😂 there were signs saying "Please do not walk on the walls!" And in the same area, there were some upside-down as well. The Continuity Dept was on the ball that day....attention to detail.

It was fiction. It still is. We'll go to the stars right after we have fusion power plants -- which have been 30 years away for the last 60 years. If the apocalypse -- which has been only ten years away for the last 70 years -- doesn't happen first. To quote VP Cackles: “it’s very important ... to see the moment in time in which we exist and are present, and to be able to contextualize it” Or Yogi Berra: "The future ain’t what it used to be." Living on Earth at the current time is good. We shouldn't be disappointed that a mythical future was a myth. We should not have believed it and should start smelling the roses that are around us today.

I’m guessing they spent so much of the costume budget on space caps, they didn’t have enough left over for space pants. This one left me Space Happy. Can’t wait to join Space Force to learn how to use a space phone and a gravimeter.

It was still like that when I was a kid in the 70s and early 80s. It seemed like there were ashtrays in every house I visited. There were some badass ashtrays back then!! Really cool design and function. Ah, the "good" old days!

51:50.....so 2 men in space suits, carrying heavy equipment, with limited oxygen, traveled 11 miles on foot, climbed a mountain, set up radio equipment, climbed back down the mountain, and returned 11 miles back--22 miles round trip--on foot--in under 4 hours..? Somehow I doubt the math.

I met Donna Martell in July 1995 at STARCON '95 in Pasadena, California. After the convention closed, I carried her bags out to her car in the parking lot for her. A very nice and beautiful lady!

Anyone else notice the Wireless telephone in Dr Wernher's hotel room? That's a pretty far out idea for the era. It's supposed to be the 1970's in the movie. The telephone has an aerial on the desk next to the phone base and the receiver has a similar aerial on the end of it...(no telephone cord required) Pretty cool.

Blatant sexism was part of every day's life. They knew nothing about actual crewed spaceflight yet. They hadn't even achieved orbit. Spaceships/spacecraft were still called ''rocketships''. In the movies most spacecraft looked like V2 rockets, or like flying saucers. Etcetera, etcetera. I wonder what people 50 or 100 years into the future will laugh sbout when they watch present day science fiction.

I like the way he's wearing shorts but still has to wear a hat, comedy. Chist she's even got fluffy boots on or slippers if you will but still she's a proper fit babe and beautiful pair of eyes but if your in a rush you're stuffed with that lift only 1 at a time and real slow

Hmmmmm.....a 1953 movie and it's United States Space Force. Then it was officially founded/named in Dec 2019, USSF. United States Space Force. Probably just some sort of coincidence. Some of the rocket animation looks about as good as anything they might even show us today. The difference is today they play it up as for real😉😉😒😒

Oh là là...putain de film, l'explication de la Space Station et le module lunaire sont parfaitement actuelles 😮🎉 Petit bijou inconnu ce film très intéressant et didactique sauf la question patriotique face la Russie soviétique. The very TITLE is misleading, as it states that it's an HD movie from 2024. In reality, the movie date is stated @0:49 with the Roman numerals, MCMLIII, meaning that it's from1953; decades before movies were filmed in HD.

When you scroll down a little bit in the description it gives a short synopsis and also the YOP (year of production): 1953. Don't just read only the top most sentence of any YT title...
