Too bad this isn't coming this year. No one knows when it is even coming. This footage was from a year ago, and there's been radio silence since then. With everything they showed, you would think that it would be the one coming out before NTE, but we've heard nothing at all. This game could possibly fall into obscurity like Seven Deadly Sins Origin

Comparing this gameplay to NTE, I think so far this game wins my vote cuz the dynamic traversal is just too satisfying. Both games have similar graphics and themes, but they could both use an upgrade on their combat mechanics (though this game has better looking combat animations IMO).

@@ElysianMessenger Good thing is there's plenty to look forward to and keep busy with either way. So, if it exists and is good, that's great, but if not, not really a big deal. It does appeal to me a lot more than NTE though.

The showcase of Project Mugen as a whole was better than Neverness to Neverness although frankly, Project Mugen borrowed quite a number of elements from other games like the telekinesis power from Psi-Ops (2004) or Control (2019), the Spiderman web swing together with destructible environment effects on enemies, wall running from Shinobi (2002) or Ninja Gaiden (2004) and of course the vehicle gameplay mechanic from GTA. Borrowing gameplay elements is not bad especially if it is a buffet of many cool gameplay elements from the past in one pot. However, it would be even better if the game developer was able to introduce new gameplay elements that have never seen before. This showcase re-run does help to show that once again both the animation and gameplay in PM were still better than NTE especially after the recent NTE showcases. For example, character running animation in NTE looks a bit stiff compared with PM and combat special effects in PM is less noisy than those in NTE - particularly, I like the missing of damage numbers flying around. I am interest to see how Project Mugen handles vehicles running over pedestrians under censorship constraint and hopefully it is not as sloppy as NTE by simply letting vehicles clip through pedestrians.

All I can say is let them brawl it out for our attention, NTE vs Mugen may the better game get the players or if people have time maybe play both lmao
