I've been wanting to try painting a couple old blades my husband has, but he says I need to sand them down to bare metal otherwise the rust will bleed through. I noticed all you did was wash with soap and scrub with steel wool. Is there more prep work than that?
oh my gosh that idea that you have with the charcoal and the chalks and pressing it on there instead of using stencils is such a brilliant thing I'm actually doing saws for a Christmas present also and you just made my day
Some of the carvings on those handles are amazing. You know, this makes me think of when we did not live in such a throw-away age. When people used things until they were used up and passed them on. You are being creative with the use of the bed pads. I am so sorry that you lost your husband. I can only imagine. Your refurbished saws and hand painted turned out beautifully. Such a creative way to share memories. Thank you so much for sharing. I came to visit you because Rick at Old Camp Ranch sent me. New subbie here.
Hey girl. You know me, need to take my leg meds and it makes me tired. Can’t even make it thru a TV show. Lol. I have to tell you, it was a darn good video, I stayed awake!!! Lol. I love how you did those. You should collect more saws and put them on you Etsy site. Great job! I love them.
