3 mistakes I noticed; 1. Mixing up the RPK's, presented RPK-74 and wrote "RPK", did the same with the actual RPK gun by writing "RPK-74" in the top left corner. 2. Presented PKM machine gun and wrote "RPK" in the top left. 3. Left out the "untrained" variant of the G3 reload where the character doesn't use the handle catch All in all, very nice video, enjoyed it a lot.
Thanks for correcting me, your comment is very important because sometimes I don't notice these mistakes, and it also helps the community. Thanks for watching, you enjoying my content means the world to me.
Hey Chuc here, former animator on PR from 0.8 to 1.0, now Creative Director at Offworld. I've probably left a lot of my animating days behind in my current role but glad ya'll are enjoying the content, it's quite nostalgic for me to look back on this with fond memories :)
Project Reality is one of the most impressive standalone mod ever made. Not only just the sheer amount of content like maps modes and factions, but also the quality of these animations as well. I discovered PR back when Insurgency source was popping off, and its modding scene was filled with quality animations. So it's natural when I found PR and its animations I just can't help but love it.
I love project realities reloads and sounds, even if I have never played it, it has by far very realistic reloads that is smooth and yet so satisfying. I find the reloads one of the best for the m4, aks and other ones
These are such amazing reload animations and sound design for a game running on the Battlefield 2 engine; they're even better than the ones in that game. Whoever made these satisfying animations, even for a game that has lots of guns scattered across different factions, he is an absolute beast.
Really good job editing this. I don't feel bored or impatient at any time (except for the slow single bullet reloading of the bolt action rifles where it used the same animation for multiple guns ;P), and the timestamps is super appreciated too. Nice! Is this really all the guns though? I think there are more!
I'm very glad that you liked the video! thanks for the compliment. to be honest with you, these are all the weapons I managed to find, after a lot of research. I think there seems to be more because the weapons have different "variants", with sights and different accessories. But I may have missed something, I hope not.
@@evo33_gaming Heya. The only things you MAY have missed is a few rocket launchers... but I'm honestly guessing and I'd say you hit most of them, if not all. Cheers mate. Enjoyed your other vids too :D
1:42 I’m sure someone pointed this out already but the blush lock on the “M1A1” is only on the original Thompson and he 1928A1 variant used in the pacific I think. At least in medal of honor.
Honestly I thought that the engine limits really worked in the favor of certain gameplay and animation aspects (though the ammo being in empty mags will always be frustrating).
All the devs of PR moved onto Squad , and the BF2 modding community is still using prefixed stuff , most tool for modding it are nearly gone . Aside from from Muhammad Furqon who does his things from scratch , haven't seen anyone did it yet
230 subscribers already? lol, when i got to your channel you were only 30. Congrats! with effort you will be a great youtuber, the quality only tends to grow!
1:45 the m1a1 Thompson doesn’t use the blish lock. Basically, it doesn’t have the charging handle on the top of the gun. Also at 2:08 I could be wrong but I think it’s the m3a1 grease gun that’s depicted because the m3 still has the charging handle, while the m3a1 did away with it and just had a notch on the bolt to pull it open. I can’t really tell which is there tho but I don’t think I see a charging handle 3:04 the Benelli M4 should lock open on the last shot but idk if you shot it before or if the game just has you load it your gun when you spawn in.
1 - Yes, as some people have said, i agree that this version of thompson is the m1928. 2- Interesting! I had not noticed a difference in the two versions, looks like you are right. 3- I fired all the weapons before activating the reload animation. Also, thanks for adding knowledge to the video, this is very important to me!
@@Nsodnoajdjksl I wasn’t saying the Benelli is open bolt I’m saying the bolt should lock back on the last round, like an ar-15 albeit a different mechanism. As seen in the clip, the bolt is still closed after all rounds have been fired, and the gun has to be charged to be ready again. This is incorrect.
the animations are nice and smooth but i really don't like the fact that the bolt is not accounted for at all. It magically warps to position before reloading so it can be slapped back after the magazine is put inside. It's easier to notice this especially on pistols and open bolt smg's. But still pretty impressive job, considering this comes from a mod of a 15yr old game
Lol not to be that one guy.. Slides don't retract open when extracting magazines.. The Slides or the "breach" of Most firearms lock back when the last round has been fired to show its empty. When a magazine is removed and there is still ammo in the magazine. There is a good chance that there is still a round in the chamber. Insurgency and Insurgency sandstorm does a perfect job at reload mechanics. The developers of that game definitely did thier home work on fire arms.
You might be missing some stuffs in here. But where is the SPIKE LR? Dutch Armed Forces has it though Edit: Actually there's, more if i'm not mistaken... like Sako TRG on Polish too
Hi, as some people have said, I realized that some things were missing, then I will make a video showing all the missing weapons, I think it must be 3 or 4. Sorry about that and thanks for watching.
I just started playing BF2 just to mess around, I main on console because my pc isn't very powerful, but runs BF2 pretty well. I might try PR soon, looks very nice. Edit: doesn't run that well haha, I'll stick to BF2 until I upgrade my rig lmao
@@evo33_gaming I have seen the video and many of the weapons that come out have a presence in the stalker anomaly, and it would be very great if they had that quality of animation! thanks ;-)
why does the character look at the mag as if they don't know its loaded. Quick question, can you tell how many bullets are in a magazine by how heavy or light it is?
The animations are great and most sounds are fantastic but I don't like how rattly everything is across the board. At 3:54 when the gun is rotated it sounds like the gun is hollow and there's something loose inside.
@@lambn25 Generally yeah, the magazine is only held on by a clip and latch on the front and rear of the magazine, meaning it still has a slight bit of movement sideways, plus the magwell usually isn't deep enough to cover the magazine a lot, unlike AR style firearms. None of this has a negative effect on the AKs operation though, it's just how the magazine and magwell were designed.
@@steveman0420 A full magazine has like 2-4x the weight of an empty one. Even a rookie can tell the weight difference. Also you wouldn't be putting empty magazines together with fresh magazines. Having dust is unlikely when magazines are stored upside down in magazine pouches. Tbh I don't find it neccessary to check magazine in every single reload.
The Thompson is not an m1a1, the AIM was designated as the md.63 in Romania, the mtar-21 wasn't a designated model and this one looks more like an x95, the m1918 in this game looks like the a2 definitely not the WW1 original, m14 sws I would've said as the m21, I would've just said mk 14 EBR mod 0, the mk12 I would've said is the sr-25, the svd is the svdm, the rpk would probably be the rpkm, the rpk-74 doesn't seem to have 5.45x39 mags so I'd go with the rpk, the mg42 is also an mg3, the dp-28 should properly be designed the dp-27, the rpg7 would be the 7v2, the bazooka is the m1
The animation and sound quality in these are amazing, but I always see how terrible the hand models look. The wrists don't turn properly either. They sorta twist like a balloon lmao
I don't know, I watched the whole video and didn't notice any errors, there are all the weapons I know of the game, I think you mean that the modifications were missing, but the reload animation doesn't change and the weapon is the same.
Unfortunately if you want to today, your limited to 2 servers. A Brazilian shit show and a US/EU shitshow with power hungry server admins. Also servers are only ever “full” for like 30 minutes. Back in the day this game was fucking sick. So many memories but now it’s just straight up dead. Squad tries to capture what this game had but it’s just not the same.
@@Wilson2005WAW also some admins are very rude and harsh if you somehow get into their way, but you can still play but just persuade these kind of situations if necessary, although many players are very humble and good as i played this game for years.
