Project Scientist was founded by Sandy Marshall, a parent who was unable to find a STEM camp that worked for her daughters, so she created a program to engage girls with aptitude, talent and passion for STEM from 4-12 years old.
Project Scientist is a STEM program for girls that offers 6 weeks of themed programs during the summer in collaboration with top universities and expeditions to STEM companies throughout the year to expose girls to female STEM professionals thriving in their fields.
We need girls to see women who look like them who are thriving in the space, so they meet a new female STEM professional every morning.
"It makes my heart sing to hear my 6yo daughter to say she met somebody famous, and it's not someone in a tabloid magazine, it's a scientist. A female scientist," says Charlene, the mother of a Project Scientist Camper.
