Note: I've covered an early build of Project Warlock II before, but it's just been released on Steam Early Access. The levels in are pretty huge and it takes about 30 minutes to play through each one, so for this video I've just included a few highlights (the end sections of three levels complete with boss fights).

Dude this game looks sick af. Im actually thinking im gna buy this one. As soon as i saw the hand animation for the flame spell, i was like 'bruhhhh'

I just bought this today, it's a vast improvement over the first game, which I still loved. The main thing that sticks out to me so far is the animations on the creature sprites are beautiful and fluid as hell.

The pixelated style, the enemies, the environment, the magic spells and even some of the weapons (the sceptre shaped like bat wings): it reminds me a lot of Heretic on PC (DoS) and kinda strike a nostalgic note. :')

Nice! This looks much better than the first game! The cramped Wolf3D-like architecture didn't do much good for me. Love the hand-drawn style of visuals.

Some UI options would be nice. I would also like to turn down the particles just a hair. I don't like pixel showers.

Like roguelike and soulslike, I feel like the definition of boomer shooter is becoming stretched... but at least as a game this look better then the first. Still waiting for those intricate levels that circle into itself constantly and are riddled with hidden goodies.

I really hope this time we get more oneliners in the game. As great as it all was and worth playing through multiple times that was the one thing I wished for. At least something when entering a new level and beating a boss

I'm loving these occasional games coming out where the weapons are these beautiful 2d sprites. I love a good crustily textured and low poly 3d model and pixelart but these sleek void bastards esque illustrations are so great, I hope this undercurrent becomes something of a trend eventually

The combat, art design and sound effects seem great. I am not sold on the music, though. Is restrained atmospheric music really the best option for a game like this? Also, I hope they put more work into the level design, as it seems a bit repetitive in some places.

Completed it during the previous event and was very surprised. Big improvement over the first one, which was super basic and kinda plain. The sequel feels much more refined and interesting and just fun.

I know that a lot of the new games have been inspired by the old pixelated games but most of the new ones just dont have the same feel to it!!! Maybe its the framerate or graphics quality but its just not the same. Something important is missing!

I'll pass on this one , its like they took a good game in the genre like quake or doom but pushed to a level of convolution and chaos that doesn't appear appealing to me at all. Thanks for your content.
