Can we talk about how this game, while not having the best story, has easily the biggest and most thick layers of fan service possible? It is so.....freaking.....good! And hearing that crit sound is like the sound of the gods, amazing!
I can never get bored of seeing this video and the second one. Both of them are just great, and the amount of references and unusual attacks just makes me smile. Especially Frank West, just a normal everyday man utilizing everyday objects as weapons against zombies, monsters and demons alike.
Seriously this game (and its sequel) are a rare treat. The combat is fun and easy, seeing all these characters working together is a hilarious good time, along with all of dialogue u can get in the game! Not to mention the story is entertaining xD Not a single character feels shoe horned in or is forgotten. Usually everyone has input or say something. I would love to have a 3rd game on the Switch. One more wild ride like these! If I had one major issue, its the difficulty spike. Seriously the endgame is NOTHING but bosses. But aside from that its a lot of fun xD
There are four SRW games on Switch That full the void this game series left behind. Although youll only enjoy them if your an anime enjoyer while Pxz Is for gamers.
There are a lot of things the playable characters do that people familiar with their games will notice, and it's awesome. For another example. if you watch during the part with X and Zero, Zero actually dash-cancels his basic saber attacks in order to repeatedly make the same swing in one of the pair's attacks, which is one of the things players could do with him in X4 through X6. Since his basic saber combo didn't trigger boss invincibility until the third swing, the damage dealt by doing just the first swing over and over could add up real quick.
I just noticed that Chun-li and Morrigan's multi attack is Morrigan basically distracting the enemy with Finishing Shower while Chun-li prepares Kikosho so Morrigan can Shadow Blade. That's some teamwork!
Love how complicated the names for more modern characters' attacks are while the old characters are mostly super simple like "Big Magic", "Thunder Magic"...
I just looked this up on Wikipedia, and the diversity of games this roster came from is amazing! Lesser known selections like Tales of Vesperia, Valkyria Chronicles, and .hack stand beside some well-known games like Tekken, Street Fighter, and Devil May Cry.
The real hero of this video is that cloaked bird/dragon thing. It sacrificed its hit points for nearly half an hour to see a group of characters fire lasers from their feet and shoot swords out of their hands
All the Duos combos are like a dance. They know each others strengths and weaknesses, and choreograph their own moves to make up for their partners openings. Specially on the sequel
@@solitonmedic That attack originates from Super Robot Wars Endless Frontier Exceed. And its full name is... (*DEEP BREATSH*) Senko Kou Sappo Ougi - Koshuufuurei. Which roughly translates to something like... Ultimate Secret Skill Of The Holy Fox - Sealed Sealed Spirit Of The Fox Lord. And its a Lost In Translation pun about how "Koshuufuurei" kinda sounds like saying "Cosplay" in engrish. "Kosuupurei." ...And I also theorize that Xiamu uses those cosplays for when she and Reiji are spending time together.
Funny how looking back on this, they really did step up their game in the 2nd game. Don't get me wrong, there were alot of great combinations in this game, and a few teams that I would have liked to have seen returned, but you can see just how much more they did when it came time to the sequel. Which definitely means alot considering how a few of these still hold up rather well
Good to see some familiar Capcom characters from Street Fighter, Darkstalkers, Resident Evil, MegaMan, and Devil May Cry. Also seeing Frank West, Arthur, and a few from Marvel vs Capcom 3 That's how I know the characters.
+Eduardo “Weegee” The Inkling MEN I NEARLY BROKE THE SYSTEM SCREEN WHEN I SAW DANTE AND THE CHARACTERS FROM VALKYRIA CHRONICLES 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I really, really appreciate the video creator putting the original tracks in place of their PXZ remakes. It gives the animations a lot more punch in my eyes.
I'm 26 hours into this game and if you're thinking about getting it then do yourself a favor! This game is amazing! The combos are so funny and flashy. It takes skill to do critical hits as well so it's not just button pressing. This game is worth buying a 3ds for in my opinion, that is if you like any fighting game ever made aha
I remember being like 12 watching the E3 trailer and being hyped as hell even though the only character I knew was Mega Man and the Street Fighter characters. This was my first 3ds game and made me want a 3ds in the first place
Holy crap I just noticed the tiny details they put into these attacks. Like the ones of the Resonance of Fate trio, where the pistols and machine guns shots have different colors for their impacts, just like in the original game. Blue for machine guns and red for pistols.
They have ryu cancel the shoryuken into a dash like you can in street fighter 4. The fact that they pay attention to actual combos and mechanics of the games to go out of their way to put references in is insane
This game is definitely worth it. You get around 50 hours of gameplay, and between playing with different combos, teams, skills, equipment, etc. you'll stay entertained!
0:15 - Originals of this Game, 3:00 - Virtue Fighter, 5:33 - Namco X Capcom (This games predecessor really), 8:23+13:40 - Sakura Wars (Supports from Legend of Valkyrie and Cyberbots), 16:23 - Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Endless Frontier, 21:42 - Shining Force EXA ... can tell you who's 17:45 and 19:00.
When you attack, you try to keep the enemy juggled in the air so you can accurately hit them with every strike (using your Solo units with L and any nearby paired units with R can stun them in place for extra damage). IF your XP meter is at least 100%, you can hit X for a finishing move with your current unit. Of course, you have to balance using XP for Skills, Finishers or reducing damage from enemy attacks, so it's a bit of a risk/reward system. You also build up XP from normal attacks.
I love a good crossover, characters from different series or from different parts of the same series coming together and their attributes mixing brilliantly!
Supremely awesome Omega! Excellent exhibition. :D Brilliant idea to use each game's original track from their OST to really capture the feel. It's so beautiful. :)
I really like how you made such "sneak peak" to next characters to show up. Very clever. Keep up the good work, Omega. Also, this game has some kickass music.
Oh my god this game has been in the back of my memories for years now! I could never remember the name until now and now I need to find and play it again
Despite the fact that I've only played roughly half of the game's chapters of this thus far, the amount of depth found in it's gameplay is absolutely staggering. My favorite ultimate attacks is a dead tie between Dante's/Demitri's and Chris's/Jill's with X's/Zero's following closely behind. This game is f***ing epic to say the least and well worth the money if you like turn based RPG's.
Though I did see a PXZ attack compilation some time ago, yours is way better, because all the attacks are here, and that compilation I saw before was split in two and lacked pair supports and boss attacks. Also, yours had your own special touch that simply makes this a ton more enjoyable. ;)
WHOA! Lots of animation! This is too awesome to be a game. It must've taken a lot of work and collaboration with many companies. Great to see many characters especially from anime. It's fun to recall the games/anime where each character comes from. Thanks for uploading!
Frank West and Hsien-Ko is the best duo that i would never have imagined teaming up Both have something to do with zombies and can weponize random shit and make it effective XD
Each directional attack branch is a set of moves used in conjunction. Even though it says one name for each character's special, you can easily see more than one per branch. For example, it says Frost Tower & Hyouretsuzan, but X is starting it off with Storm Tornado while Zero is doing Ryuenjin.
