holy shit.. i watched this video and went to the comments, completely surprised at how little there were. i expected this channel to have like hundreds of thousands of subscribers. amazing work!!
Great vid, really well put! Such a fun engrossing game that gives you real sense of achievement and loss. Good work mate I'll have to catch your steam sometime.
Thanks pal! Yeah - it’s so rewarding - I’m even considering making a series on my RU-vid channel just to document the stories of some of the characters I take through the zompocalypse! Look forward to seeing you on the stream :).
My current survivor can't fight zombies, I was upgrading my base and climbed through a window with glass shattered in it. I gave me a deep wound on my right hand so I can't fight more than two zombies at a time. So if I see a horde I just avoid them or risk luring them away from houses, all so I can find a needle or suture needle to fix my hand. The games tough. Edit: hahaha as soon as I wrote this I found a needle. That sense of accomplishment is amazing.
I love that story of your game - and it reminds me of how wonderful it is. I remember one game searching for an age for a sledgehammer and a gas can - then I found both in the same garage! I was so happy - what I hadn’t realised is that I’d attracted quite a bit of attention - and safe to say, I never filled up my car or used that sledgehammer. Amazing experience everytime! Glad you found the needle!
This is a really great video! I'm surprised there's not more views. I bought Zomboid two months ago and I haven't played it just yet but this video has definitely talked me into it. If I can just get some spare time, it's a bit hard with two kids, a wife and a job to juggle...😫
I had those same feelings from the original State of Decay game on Xbox 360, yes it was buggy but for me it was the first game that made me feel like I was in a Romero movie, great video.
I dont think iv chosen my traits since iv been playing. I always randomize and go. And every time in is a unique experience. I only started playing a few months ago and Project Zomboid is a dream cone true, as hard as the game is. I relish that every decision i make could be my last. Great review, u have a new fan.
I never play seriously with infection off. But I honestly wouldn’t mind an expensive **partial** immunity trait. This by no means would guarantee survival. You’d need a bunch of food, water and meds on hand in order to beat the infection. You won’t be in any shape to go scavenging. Without supplies, you’re still almost guaranteed to die. Even if you’re prepared, you still might not survive it. It could take weeks until you’re back to normal. Realistically, a very small number of people would show at least a partial immunity. I honestly don’t even think it would be OP at all since it doesn’t help you one bit with the multiple other ways of dying. The key to this though is the chance of still dying. Just turning off infection in the settings removes all of the drama of wondering if you’re gonna survive or not. Having partial immunity would create struggles to survive after being bitten. Struggling is what makes PZ entertaining.
Hey Roy, perfect video very well said! It's the story telling that makes this game so great. The human race has told story's to each other since the beginning of time, it's in our DNA. With this game it just comes naturally, no battery's required. The one character I know you don't want me to remember is Gentle John, lol. Literally you had him what 5 minutes before he died. I remember you couldn't find anything, it was a really bad start, we both knew that this character wasn't going to make it long, lol. You got done looting the house, which you found next to nothing, not even a frying pan. I named him Gentle John because of the way the game was unfolding. As soon as Gentle John went outside he got surrounded by zombies and died. I will never forget Gentle John, lol. Thanks Roy you have a wonderful day!
