That was a neat segue to the ad, nice. One thing, I really like how you are pronouncing these placenames with their local pronunciations, but maybe it'd be an idea to add a caption on the map so that people would know what to look for? For instance, I as a Faroese and thus L2 Danish speaker know from hearing the word how Lynetteholm is spelled but I'm sure many others would not. Just a small suggestion. :) Keep up the good work.

The part about limiting co2 emissions is a misunderstanding. Since temperatures will continue to rise for a long time even with 0 emissions, we need to reach net zero way before 2050. The 2100 number might stem from the fact that most predictions evaluate change until the end of the century

There is also a plan from the Netherlands to build two gigantic dams. One from Brittany in France to Cornwall in England. And the other from John O Groats in Scotland, across the Orkney and Shetland Islands, to Norway.

Not an actual plan, a proposal made mostly to highlight what ridiculous lengths we may have to go to if we don't lower emissions. If I recall correctly, in reality that "North Sea Dike" would just flood the North Sea even more because of how many rivers flow into it and the Baltic. Still an interesting concept nonetheless

It would be cool to see a huge seawall between Denmark and Norway. As a Swede in western Sweden I am very concerned

Sea level rise? I tought those lands were sinking due to Scandinavia rising. Since the ice left. Also beeing mostly sand, getting washed away.

Both are impacting sea levels, but isostatic adjustment is not even close to as big a factor as sea level rise. Only parts of Scandinavia (mainly Northern Sweden) are seeing uplift. Most of Scandinavia (Southern Sweden, Norway, Denmark) are sinking very slightly. But we're talking 0.1mm per year. Sea levels have risen 91.3mm between 1993 and 2020, that's an average of 3.4mm per year or 34 times as much as the isostatic adjustment in the countries I covered here. Sea level rise is also accelerating, today we're seeing more than that average (from what I can gather around 3.6mm per year) Isostatic adjustment meanwhile is a lot more constant and much less significant. Even the areas facing the most sinking due to isostatic adjustment (Mainly the US, Middle America, and Western Australia) are only sinking by 0.5-0.7mm per year. That's certainly not good but sea level rise is much more impactful.
