Nice presentation. When you have reversal of stresses in a truss due to wind, how do you take care of the effective length of the bottom chord which is usually not restrained laterally with purlins like the top chord?

Hi, how do you ensure that your nodes stay on a straight line when you have irrational numbers as your coordinates due to your roof slope? I thought I could use a construction line like in SUMO but I cant seem to be able to do that in Frame analysis

Under beam loads, after feeding the 'Beam element definition', my 'direction' tab contains 'XYZLK'. What direction does the 'K' stand for? I understand XYZL but not 'K'. I'm using Prokon 3.0 Thank you.

Hi, the "K" tells the software that the force is acting in the perpendicular to the side of the beam

So how do you add a nodal load that’s acting at an angle, say maybe an angle of 60 degrees

Hi, you use the horizontal and vertical components of that load as two separate nodal loads.
