Hi hun so is there any way I can use my South African ID ? I don't have a passport and neither do I have a driver's license. I'm 22 years old with 2 beautiful baby girls and me and hubby both lost our jobs due to covid so I really want to earn some money sothat we can provide for them during this time 😪

They are very cruel. at first, I was quite surprised that they didn't decline me right in the beginning because the whole world is against Iranian IP so I was happy until I finished with all those questions, and only then they decided to inform me that they dont support my country. Dont mean to blame you though you are a great help. keep it up!

Oh no! They should have told you at the beginning. Out of curiosity, if you click on "Studies", does it show you "Waiting for Studies"? I only ask because another woman whose country isn't on the country list says that once every three days or so, she sees a study pops up and takes it.

You can register from any country, but once you're in the profile page it says ''We're sorry, we can't give you access to Prolific'' or that is not available in your country if you try to access from your phone. Edit: I'm from Argentina.

Seems like feast or famine on here; finally verified my ID recently and received I think 11 studies in about a week, waiting for payment for three of them; haven't seen a new study in about two days. My sense is that once again my demographic will hinder me here.

Can someone clarify this for me: I started using Prolific in December 2020, and so far I'm getting a lot of studies. The only problem is the Prolific assistant extension because even if I click on it, it will open a new tab for the study and taking forever to load and making studies full when trying to click on them. Is it worth it to remove the Prolific extension because it doesn't help at all?

It’s a good website from where people can earn a bit of money there is no doubt it. But the registering process is too long. Also when a person registers with this site, she/he has to give all her/his information which includes photos, driver’s licence and also passport copy. She/he also needs to give all info about her/his lives, health etc. All this info/data would be stored in the company’s database site. These are very sensitive info about anyone. If someone wants to steal someone’s identity these info is enough to use. The company could also sell these info to other companies to make big money. So the question is how much this company can be trusted so that the company is not going to misuse the data by any means!!

You only have to provide one form of ID, not more than one. I get your point, but the purpose of these websites is to collect data for research purposes. If they don't ask you for such information, the website is pointless because sample studies require data. You can also answer "Rather not say" or "prefer not to answer" if you are uncomfortable with any question. This website is trusted by universities, and I have done several studies for universities including Yale and Harvard so yes.. use at your discretion and don't do anything you are not comfortable with.

I did the same steps but when I finished the first study I didn't get the option to very my information, when I go to my account I see a message on the top page that says: you are rejected, you will not be eligible to complete studies, I'm not sure why but did anyone get this? this is my first time I create an account on this website
