Thank you for a nice presentation as always! I am happy you introduced this one, I did not know Proline made trucks either. I like the all metal smooth chassis plate, it keep the center of gravity low, together with the metal parts in the axles. The front and rear suspension looks good, and with generous wheel travel together with the 2,8 tires it will cope with challenging terrain easily. All the parts look well finished, and it looks like they have not cut any corners, looks good in the details too, with countersunk allen screws. Gear mesh inserts, that was new and a good idea. I have always used a piece of aluminum foil or plastic sheet between the gears, pressed the gears together, tightened, removed the foil of plastic, and it had the correct mesh, now the inserts keep the spacing correct. Nice with a precut body, even it is lexan it has lot of details, so it will look terrific painted and with the stickers and decals in place. This truck is well worth the extra price. I look forward to see what motor, servos and radiosystem you choose, and the drive video of course! Cheers.
Nordmann61 thanks for these additional details you mentioned! Spot on. It's a quality truck for sure. One of the nicest ones I have. I think I'm going with Tekin for the motor/esc (rx4 since it's waterproof and rugged). Hoping to finish it up before Christmas!
Wow RC girl I’m now going to see more on this new RC 4x4 it looks like fun like to know where to see them run I’m in Chino. I have been doing crawling Axial SCX 10 II. Plus Axial Bomber but put a faster motor in it... well enough hope to hear back
Hi RC girl! I like how you ask others for suggestions for your build. I’m still new at this but I follow your method of asking for advice and using what works for you best. 👍🏽🎄🎅🏽
So glad to see you with a monster truck you will have fun with this one I will send you some suggestions on the motor and gearing soon as I own this truck one thing I will tell you now is look at your Castle motor options! You my not need a BIGGER HOUSE AFTER ALL!!😂🤣🤗😘
These tires are perfect for braided fish line plus fish line is way way lighter and can be easily fixed on the spot if one line breaks unlike if a taped tire comes undone.
I would really like to see this build on what you do and please don't fast forward I think your channel is awesome is helping me a lot more than what you think love to see what you do with the body have you ever thought about hydro dip on a body have a good one thanks for upload👍👍👍👍👍👍
Great vid! You know, the thing thats really nice about these kits from proline is that the parts(a-arms, steering blocks, etc....) very nice and beefy. Very strong parts. But, the servo arms, and the few things guy's are breaking, like you mentioned, should alredy be included. I mean for the price your paying, should come with it. My opinion though. Good job rc girl! Where were you when I wanted to get married! LOL.
John Wagner yeah, maybe they will include it in the next gen release. If the servo arm is the worst thing about this, then they have a good kit in my opinion 😄
Ryan Harris thanks! Same to you. Next... 100k!! 😉 I ended up getting a soft box setup like you mentioned a while ago and it's made a huge difference. 👌
Great unboxing RC Girl 😂!!! Don't forget to visit the Proline Pro MT4X4 Owners Group on FB. Tons of tips, mods, and cool people with tons of experience on these👌. Enjoy this little Ripper 😍!!! 🍻🤘🤘😎💪👊👊
Thanks!! Yeah I'm a member. Have been lurking for a while reading up on things, but just introduced myself and posted this vid. Got a tekin motor/esc arriving Friday!
RC Girl that's AWESOME 😜!!! Thought I saw your post 🤔. Lurking is where knowledge/ideas are gained👍. This is a unique platform and loads of FUN 😂. Excited to see your Tekin setup. 🍻🤘🤘
I love this truck !! I put a castle creations sidewinder 8 combo. Also put wheel hex extension on for a wider footprint. Looking forward to your build videos.
@@RCGirl The ones that everyone is using are team associated part #ASC89330 ,but they are sold out everywhere and are on backorder. I'm sure there are other extensions that will work, just not sure what ones.
@@RCGirl Team associated has the hex extension in stock now on there website. Just FYI you do have to drill out the pin hole a little bigger for them to work.
Yeah I'm even a year behind the release of this one, but it's still pretty new tech. It's crazy to think that my Team Associated B3 is "vintage" - makes me feel super old!! haha
Szymon Nowotniak thanks, good point. If I go with a lower kv motor ill be able to run 4s with no issues. Some of the guys are running like mid to high 3000kv and I was thinking 1900. We'll see...
+RC Girl yes it's great fun I put a $9-10 all in one micro camera in my Across 12428 and it's a great buzz you have a lovely spot for it at the back of your house Rc Girl and great for driving around the house in the horrible wet weather lol
Meh not really a monster truck fan , as a rule they tend to be too heavy with Bad centre of gravity . I’d bung a 1/8 Castle sidewinder 2200 and run 4s.
Haha yeah, I've been posting more frequently, but I'll do my best to get more videos out. I have a Carbon Cub video next! And then hoping to get the components this week to complete this truck.
@@RCGirl Cool can't wait to see the video but I understand if you don't have time to make videos, I mean adults are usually busy. But I'm so happy you replied😀. Not alot of youtubers reply to my comments
I was gonna try to make a RU-vid vloging channel on my family so my channel is called the Mena family because my last name is Mena. The channel is in progress. Isn't it hard to edit?
