As someone born and raised in Toronto, and grew up in Scarborough I know the Bluffs very well. So glad to see someone doing a video on the filming locations for Prom Night. One of my favorite 80s Slashers !

Great video, Sean (and Scott). So crazy that the school is almost completely intact after all these years and you guys still matched up shots. You figured, some renovations would have been made (or updating).

I follow Scott on Tape and love his videos, but his jokes are usually corny. LOL. However, this recreation of the Prom Night dance is the BEST THING EVER. I laughed so hard. Thanks guys.

Thanks Sean ! And you too Scott! I grew up loving Prom Night. Funny story, the first time watching it with my parents on TV, I had got a new puppy that day, and hadn't named her yet. After watching the movie , I.named her Wendy, lol. I loved her chase scene and her look.

Wicked Badass Video Sean and Scott! Prom Night is such classic 80's Slasher! I love watching these, because the amount time, passion, and dedication put into these is massively impressive!

On the topic of the Exit signs and getting the right angle. One thing I noticed is in the movie there seems to be two exit signs. The one that is probably part of the school (and has the same orientation as the one you saw in person and is closer to the door). And the other one that is hanging down that the actor is repairing. If you stop the video around 28:13 and freeze it quickly you'll see the original Exit sign that lines up to the same one there today (and in same direction). I'm thinking the hanging one was a prop. You may already know all this, but wanted to point it out or maybe I'm just seeing it wrong. Just thinking that may be why it was hard to line up angle when you were there.

I love when new episodes come out, because it's great to see these awesome filming locations...and I love the theme song!

Great video, as usual! My three highlights: 1. Scott, when standing outside of Leslie Nielsen's character's home says, "The killer is standing behind this pole, same pole, I asked it. Says it's the same pole." 2. When Sean and Scott dance in the gym. Loved the swinging around effect and your facial expressions, hilarious! 3. When Scott comes staggering out of the school covering his eyes, then collapsing to the ground. Sean then cradles his head and sobs uncontrollably. Great reenactment!

First time I've seen a "Prom Night" location video! Awesome research guys! BTW yes, she was called JUDE... not JudY... 🙂 Movie logic: the cops would've talked to the 4 kids cuz Kim and Alex most likely would've mentioned they saw them playing the "Killers" game. But would scared kids REALLY be able to fool the police that they didn't know what happened to the sister! hmmmmm

Well speaking of a van that went off a cliff.. In Henderson NV there is a pit where they filmed Cherry 2000. In Cherry 2000 Lester and his gang push a van into that pit... the van is still there... exactly when it landed back in the 80s... been trying to tell you that for over a year Sean, You are a hard man to contact.

It’s not that I wouldn’t have been majorly effected by “Prom Night” HAD I watched it as a little kid (as you apparently did), but I didn’t because I was a teenager when it came out. It’s no different than if you now watched The Beast of the Dead/Beast of Blood (1970) or From Hell It Came (1950s) or The Pit and the Pendulum (1960s, produced by Roger Corman and starring Vincent Price) or Frankenstein’s Daughter (1950s)…….all of which literally TRAUMATIZED me with fear when I saw them as a young child, but that you yourself would think were laughably bad (as I did after I re-watched them as an adult) if you watched them now. In fact the monster in the basement in Frankenstein’s Daughter gave me such HORRIBLE nightmares, that for weeks I’d wake up screaming that the monster was going to get me, which would then give way to ENORMOUS RELIEF after I realized yet again that my house didn’t even have a basement!😅

This was my first horror movie I saw as a child. When I stayed over my aunt's house, she let me and my cousins watch a lot of things my parents did not know. Actually, Alien was the first horror movie I watched and my parents took me to that when Drive-ins existed. I was in kindergarten.

When Sean and Scott appear together, it’s always great. The dance reenactment omg, perfection 😂 When I saw Wendy in the clips, I was like hey that’s Doreau from one of my fav tv shows, Sledge Hammer! Seeing her made me end up with a Today I Learned moment because I ended up on her wiki and saw she co-wrote Twister with her husband at the time, Michael Crichton 😮 But I digress…this video is a good example of how Canadians are so cool to let them in to look around. Very well done.

Love it when you two get together! Back in the late 90s, my buddy lived down the street from the Don Mills school. I couldn't figure out why it looked so damn familliar. It was about 3 years later before I was watching Prom Night and just about fell out of my chair. I went there the next day and confirmed it.

Oustanding! I find "Prom Night" to be one of the creepiest slashers. Have you ever been in a school at night? Great work, Sean and Scott.

Prom Night is that rare slasher movie where you empathise with the killer. By the end you see who he is and you understand why he did what he did. He wasn't crazy, he just went crazy after a certain event and was only interested in going after a certain group of people.

For those of you wondering, the movie was shot in the 2nd half of 1979. 44 years ago!

The Principal Leslie Nielson was in a horror movie before this one called Day Of The Animals where he was a mean SOB.

I think this has to be one of the closest comparisons with very little changed between ‘then’ and ‘now’ we’ve seen in a Horror’s Hallowed Grounds video. It’s depressing when the ‘now’ is so changed and horror film history has been swept away. Seeing locations that are still so recognisable after all these years makes me happy.

It’s amazing how much hasn’t changed in over 40 years with the school. I figured most of it, like the showers and office, would be completely renovated by now. So cool.

Another one! I am stoked you did Prom Night! I went to both Don Mills Junior High - Which is now Don Mills Middle School. And Don Mills Collegiate next door! At a couple spots you film where I had a locker. And to see those halls again is kind of a heavy throwback anyhow. I'm getting old and it's been a long time. So damn cool!

Wow that janitor guy really knew the film!, often you go to an old location and people haven't the slightest clue. The dance reanactment was hilarious, Scott gives me Pauly Shore vibes. Haven't seen this film in years, going to give it a re watch especially as there might be some peak Jamie Lee boobage on show
