I am always impressed by people who have the patience to learn the move-sets and play like this. For me, I don't mind dying over and over until I get it right. It's the abysmally slow loading times on the PS4 that make me want to rage quit. I know it's going to take me a very long time to get a feel for the timing, but if I have to sit through 300 loading screens before then, I may just have to settle for watching the story online, at least until these bosses inevitably get nerfed.
I played through the whole base game as a sorcerer. I very rarely, if ever use melee weapons. So the fact that it seems like sorcery had a major nerf has me having to learn an entirely different play style... It could be fun if it wasn't so dang frustrating!
The bosses aren’t gonna get nerfed, maybe a few bugs that made some of them unintentionally harder (looking at you Commander gial) will get patched, but otherwise this is probably going to remain as difficult as it is now
@@darkmatter9643 I have started trying a couple different play styles. Though some of the bosses are still going to make me go bald, I have been getting gradually better. I finally got Consort to his second phase (and then died immediately, lol!) That's progress! However, I totally agree that something needs to be done about Gaius. That was the most frustrating fight by far, even counting Radahn.
Good job man!! I literally just beat him, I tried parrying but his phase 2 aoe light attacks always one shotted me so i went with the good old backhand dual wield
From a solo perspective, yes 100%! I had to build tons of resistance to survive a few hits. It took me about 4 hours to kill it and the first 2 hours was spent just learning what moves can be parried
this is so far the 1st "clean kill" on this one. Now many speedrunners/no hit runners are probably gonna copy (or at least they have discovered it by themselves) this and not credit you. Btw, you can dodge that gravity slam without getting hit when you distance yourself a little bit and double roll away from him. Nice video man!
Parrying makes phase 1 cheesable. Wasn't able to show it here but you can stunlock him due to how his ai defaults half the time to a parryable attack (the other one being his stomp which you have to dodge) after landing a parry. Phase 2 on the other hand, is rng. He doesn't do the parryable moves as often and he typically one shotted me if I missed a parry. Got him down to 10% hp a few times before the kill but I kept getting one tapped. Actually thought about picking up the spirit bell because of phase 2 Overall, was a good fight. His dmg is a bit overtuned though!
@@a_person55honestly health isn't an issue aslong as damage isn't stupidly high. same vice versa, I don't mind a glass cannon boss either, but radahns damage is wayyyyy too much, making it feel artificially hard
I don't think his damage is absurdly high, he just spam attacks to death with a few windows to use flasks, personally I think he is well created and with enough practice you can beat him without a problem. I did him with exactly same build as the guy in the video with ng+, its doable
It definitely is, if you don't have buffs up the ass his damage is too high. With his quick two swing attack he is nearly one shotting me at level 20 blessing. And 55 Vigor.
i tried parrying him but i always panic and then mess up in p1, but you are doing it so well, and could actually wait for that delayed two-handed side slash. i keep watching that over and over and im always amazed because i never get that. btw, is carian retalliation better than golden parry here?
Hey, I thank you a lot for this vid. I had issues to defeat him but I finally succeeded. I’m suprised how the shield parade is so satisfying by the way.
If you know the lore it makes sense, and this boss is even more of a spectacle than Starscourge Radahn. It's not even a copy paste he has new moves. The Battle of Aeonia was entirely for Radahn to become Miquella's Consort so that Miquella could become a god. Malenia was meant to kill him so his soul could reach the Shadowlands where Miquella was, and Mohg's body was used as a vessel.
@@MaackyD So i'm supposed to not look at youtube at all instead of the other guy not putting spoilers in the thumbnail and title? Why are you defending him? What are you getting out of defending that kind of degeneracy?
