Let's go on an adventure! Really, this is a shakedown trip to see if I can do the tent alone...of course I can! Promised Land State Park Is BEAUTIFUL, and my family has camped at Pickerel Point for years. The site we like is a 'walk on' dry camping site, private and right on majestic Promised Land Lake. Enjoy the birdsong and lake views, and relax with me!
I look forward to sharing more of this trip and my pleasant hike at Little Falls Trail next time!

@@gracegarden1 I subbed and I will check out the other videos. My experience hiking around Promised Land goes back 40 years or more, before many of the trails were established and maintained. My favorites are Egypt Meadow Lake and Bruce Lake, both very close to the actual park and within Delaware State Forest. I actually took a small raft back to Bruce Lake on a bike several years ago and floated the lake, now I guess they don't allow bikes on that trail.

Grew up near promised Land State Park it was close but not that close it was quite a drive like 20-30 minutes but always used to go there as a child and fish and explore and everything.

Promised Land SP is a little over an hour for me. My family has camped and hiked here for many years, and I have lots of videos on my channel featuring our hiking and camping adventures. Thank you for this. Do you know how this compares to their Lower Lake and Pines Campgrounds? Is Pickeral Point the best no hookup and non-busy site next to the lake?

Actually, I took a look at the reservation map online and it looks like Pickeral Point is the best. We like to be close to water so that we fetch water, plus we love the water. :)

Thank you, Norma, for your view. I've only actually camped at Pickerel Point, but have camped there many, many times and I know the Park well. The other two campgrounds are very nice and have a totally different ambience. All are clean and beautiful, but Pickerel Point is the quietest - some sites have electric and water, but not many. We like the primitive walk down sites that are right on the lake.
