A lot of players don't understand that you don't have to carry every game. Sometimes your win condition is for another player to carry, and that's perfectly OK.
@@hansimgluck6789 yeah same as his first game somehow as soon as you hit promos all your teammates troll afk leave the game and are toxic as fuck its not coincidence i really think riot does it on purpose xD what worse is when idiots search up op.gg and see that you in promo so they bully you for every mistake, or troll on purpose to make you lose your promo game yeah :D
@@zekrom6537 Last time I did promos I had our jungler and top laner go Varus/Caitlyn top lane, and when me and my duo partner protested they said "it works." It didn't.
@@SushiBurritoPapi sometimes I edit comments simply because the autocorrect changed some words and completely changed the meaning of what I wanted to say.
Everyone has been hard carried at some point Rav, so don’t let folks shit talk you for it. We’ve all lucked out getting matched with a one trick Yasuo (the good yas players), the supports who just can’t miss skill shots, the jungler who shows up for ganks and counterganks at the right moment, the adc who can wipe the whole enemy team with a bit of help, or the top laner who at some point could dive fountain for a pentakill like pre-rework Sion.
There's a HUGE difference between getting a smurf on your team for a random game and having a GM smurf in EVERY game you play. I mean I bet I could make diamond if I got Tarzaned to duo with me all season. (I'm G3 for reference always solo Q)
I was that sion, even few times after rework - good ol times when messing around was actually fun and hydra was tank Item. Oh and adc doesn't need team if he has Black cleaver.
one of the best tips i now is learn to be carried you really dont have to be the raid boss every single game you can just farm up and let your team do most of it
I agree we have all literally been smurfed on whether its our team or theirs. Im proud to get hard carried. I can still pay attention to my mistakes and learn from them but it just feels good when you win a game regardless of who carried
It happens because sweaty NEETs use one of those sites/programs that tells your info about your team in draft and then they grief you so you lose promos. Yes, people ACTUALLY do that. The amount of teams I've been on where someone on my team is in promos and then they are having a rough game and then some degenerate flames them and says "Nice promos, enjoy your loss" is astounding.
I wish more people would set aside their pride and just let their teammates who are ahead carry the game instead of trying to make up for their mistakes themselves and feed in the process
Not dying is like the number 1 skill. Feeding your enemy gold and levels for a comeback that can counter your good players should remind everyone they are not just being useless, but actually 6v4.
As a Cho'Gath main, I accept that my role in team fights is to land cc, eat one person, stand between my carries and the enemy, and stop anyone who tries to walk past me. And I am ok with that.
this is my ranked carrer in a nutshell: i win i lose i win i lose then i get a win streak to 100 lp promos lose then get lose streak go all the way back to 0 lp get demoted and then i get perma ban for flaming trolls
Am i the only one getting win streaks up to 2 divisions, and lose streaks just the same? I mean one time i am gold 2, promo for gold 1, the other day i am gold 4😂😂
@@alainmarroquin5742 yeah. Lol. Winning lane sucks when your team doesn't know what 'teamfighting' or 'winning conditions' mean. You begin to question if they even deserve gold. You question yourself why your attitude is getting worse. You tell everyone you're not supposed to be in gold and you're better. Lol. The stages
@@chromevolt5494 It's funny but it's true. Gold should genuinely be split up into 3 individual leagues. I'm joking a bit, but the point is in gold you can get teams that play cohesively and understand macro/back timings for objectives like they're diamond+ and then the very next game you'll get a brand support on your team who literally sits on full mana the whole game and still dies 5 times before 10 minutes and blames their ADC for "not doing shit"
Same thing happened to me bro, feels bad. Did plat promos 3 times cause of inting and afk lol. Riots promos are a joke. Finally got it on the third time lol.
@@WhiteVampire888 according to one of Riot’s dev diaries, they said that they’re making it easier to climb and that it’s also easier to fall and lose ranks.
I think this is a phenomenon. You have to win a bunch in a row to get to your promos, therefore it evens out but you feel it worse because it’s your promos and you remember it more vs the great teammates you had leading up to that promo
The mmr system is made to keep you at 50% win rate... so the more you win, the worst your team will be .. To balance it out (and make you play more and more cause you have to redo promotions a few time, since a win streak is needed to get there making riot match you with the worst players in the promos to balance your winrate)
Brother, i've been in the exact same situation as you for the last 9 years. Think I was Bronze 5 for like 2 years, got to Gold 4 and the highest i've ever been since then was Gold 2. I have NEVER even been on promo's for Plat, and I die far far too often. This season, i've been in promos for G2 I think 6 times and in every single promo the first 2 games had someone intentionally troll, flame and leave or go afk with no explanation. I 100% believe there's an algorithm for putting you with the least impressive, toxic or plain stupid players of your bracket in your promo games to see if you can carry. Doesn't help if you main support. I also believe if you've been banned you're also put with other toxic players or people who've been banned, I got chat banned arguing with premades trolling in base 3 games in a row and throughout the chat ban and afterwards even when Honour is unlocked again the players i've been with are the worst of the worst as people. Love the content anyway keep it going, i'm going to slap myself in front of the mirror and then sit down in the shower and sob.
@@MewLillyPad Nope, those are genuine support mains. The majority of support mains at low elo are exactly like this. "My ADC sucks! They can't do anything by themselves!" meanwhile they main the role that dictates the lane 90% of the time. Ask any pro ADC/Support and they will say the same. The best an ADC can do in lane is not fall behind or roughly go even. The best a support can do is win lane. ADC's for the first 10-15 minutes are their support's child, literally. The support's sole purpose in League is to get their ADC ahead. I'm not saying there aren't hard things about playing support, however support players act like they have no control over the lane and are at the whim of their ADCs to win the game. They're not. If you're the type of support main to never pressure in lane/jockey for lane control and just stands behind your ADC using a total of 5 ability presses in 15 minutes, then YOU are the problem, not your "low elo ADC being bad." Everyone at low elo is bad, so that's not an excuse.
Exactly, I was at gold promos like 3 times few days ago, going up and down until I finally gave up to my gold elo. Since promos give me 3 loss streak in my usual rollercoaster of disappointment and satisfaction
Damn dude...I remember when i joined League at the end of season 7. I was running heal ignite and wandering from lane to lane cluelessly. Somehow i got to plat 3 60lp in season 8 (with 1600 games..). In season 9 i got to plat 4 only. This season i could barely make it to gold 1 (with 1600 games again). I am looking forward to season 11. Hope i make it back to plat. Gl to yall hardstucks out there. YOU are not alone...
Well, I can relate. I just had my Gold Promo games on single ranked (I only play Supp), the moment I got into those promo games, I started to lose. Actually lost 13 games in a row since then and got demoted to Silver 2... that was shortly before the new season patch, since then I haven't played ranked to be honest. It just felt like someone flipped a switch and said: Nope, Gold would be to good for you. But we will still match you against Gold players, obviously.
I don't know why I always leave two comments on Rav videos but the feeling when your phone buzzes saying Rav daddy dropped another vid straight out of heavens biggest igloo is too good
I play lol since 2013 and til this season, i was always bronze/silver but this season i climbed to platinum, i remember when i though gold players are so good, now i dont even think plat players are that great
@@rokranged Well basically i changed my perspective on LoL, the main thing that changed is my perspective on killing enemies. The main goal of the league is to be stronger then your opponent which you do by getting more gold then them, so then i figured that killing them is not even close to being the main source of gold. I started thinking Macro about major and minor objectives( helping jg with scuttle etc.) And punishing my laner, using trading stance etc. But i think that wave management is the key to punishing your laner. Nowdays i laugh when i play with my friends who are bronze when i see some mistakes people are doing and remebering me doing them. If you want to know in detail, hmu( the difference is to big from silver to plat, too many details)
@@darkopetkovic wow thanks for the detailed reply! I've started following these too in the last couple of months and have improved my game play significantly. I haven't played ranked in the last 2 seasons due to my bad internet but I'm moving soon (and will have better internet) and am excited to try. Thanks so much!
Rav: "Then mister wind and carry, Rav-to-Plat is in the area. So I go bird's-eye view and launch a long boy at nothing, just so I can say I was there during the second kill." 😂
My worst streak was reaching Gold promos 9 times in a row and failing to proceed to Gold, then finally getting it the 10th time... it took me MONTHS just for that promo win.
Please keep this shit up. These videos make my day. Legit once im done with school ill be on patrion for giving ya a quick 3 hundo. Keep it up thanks for the laughs
Platinum is the most toxic. It's literally why I stopped playing ranked. The games are only lopsided. From Gold 1 - Diamond 5 the entire area is just a shit fest. I'd need my own jungle carry to get me out.
What I love most about your vids is that the best jokes you make are usually about your own poor performance which makes you seem a lot less salty when you mercilessly humiliate bad players with your commentary
Waiting for Heizman to crack the "I raised that boy *sniffles*" joke. 😂 But seriously Rav, carried or not, I'm glad you've made it to platinum finally. Congratz man!
You know the saddest part? Losing promos probably has a bigger hit on your mmr than losing a standard ranked game and had even more impact than lose streaks. When I lose a promos is not only a "it doesn't matter, I just have to get a couple more wins". But you never get them, instead you f***ing get a lose streak that sends you 2 divisions lower and no matter your winrate, all of the sudden that single streak makes you lose more lp than what your were winning.
That damage graph at the end, man you just flexing. Damn... I wish my jungler would carry me out of gold...but the second I leave jungle spot and go on another lane I get autofilled jungler in my team and 1 lane must feed =))
"Oh you just got carried" if riot didn't want you to duo, they'd remove the option :) League of Legends is also a TEAM game, not that very many people act like it though.
YEP 100% THIS. This is why I turn my head to the side when I see people in stream chats/streamers complaining about duo queue and "duo abusers" as if that makes any sense. #1, as you said it's a TEAM game, not a 1v9 360 no scope "1v1 me @ Rust" game. You HAVE TO PLAY AS A TEAM. #2, They should INCREASE the amount of people you can queue with, not remove it. All I want more than ever in League is to be able to go into EVEN 50% of my games confident that EVERYONE on the team isn't an emotionally unstable NEET and will work together in-game through good moments and bad ones alike.
Duo isn't meant for a GM to carry a silver/gold player, but it doesn't matter because eventually Heiz will get bored at this level and Rav won't be able to sustain the level alone.
@@garettmatheis933 then riot would punish smurfing or do something to combat that type of matchmaking. It's really simple, Neace has had SEVERAL ideas that all sound really good to fix the rank system, up to and including multiple accounts in the same phone number and requiring a phone number or some sort of verification to even play the damn game in the first place.
@@Baaforsheep Hahahaha...Tbh Rav tried his best and poped off in some games actually, so I didn't want to say it was all Heizman there even though some might see that Heizman did all the job. U know personal opinions not gonna talk about it.
@@connorobrien4552 I think he more means that the mechanical skill is about the same...I think golds have more map awareness and better cs, even if it's not great.
honstely alot of high elo players iam talking challnger will even complain about the macro's of daimond players infact most players lack serois macro's tell how many mid laners mains know killing the caster minons in a wave is more than enough to push
i remeber my gold promos i swear to god i was getting unranked players irons and bronze 1 in my team mean while the enemy team is between silver 3 and gold 4
That invade is exactly why I won’t leash when a jungler doesn’t care enough to watch his own entrance. Its an easy thing to watch and then be able to fight or concede. Better they’re slow to start, than a lane gets hosed by a first blood advantage before first wave.
Being "carryable" is a whole art by itself and I'm not even joking, there is a moment when a player realises that they just can't win their lane,it's what they do with this realisation that matters the most
Me when I see the third game, knowing that it was on Rav and Heiz's shared channel: Wait a minute! Does Rav put commentary on those videos and put them on here?
Not sure if you really wanna climb but ... If you stay in the base instead of rush as fast as possible to protect the jungle entrance, those kind of things (in first match) happens.
One thing I do have to agree with is opening in certain situations. Nothings much worse than being forced to play through an already lost game for another 15 minutes because even though you have 2 inters or 2 afks they still think "We can win". Better yet, when you're the only one doing well on top of that. Just open and lets all go to our next game. I can kind of get it in ranked games but in normals or arams why not just end it. I feel people just get too wrapped up in the idea of winning that they'll trade any sense of actually having fun to try and forcefully win. Ah well that's just me I guess and from how people react in the league community I definitely feel im in the minority.
You can win every game up until promos and as soon as you hit them, your team AFK’s at 6 minutes. Still trying to figure out how Riot’s matchmaker is so good at doing that
I like that you've been a lower end LoL tuber. I'm the kind of person who's been aware of LoL but never understood it or got into it because of its complexity. But here, I can get some laughs and learn along the way since sooner or later you're going to mess up every part of the game and mention it, which is more than a lot of LoL 'tubers do.
The majority of players are silver/gold. We relate far more to the random ass trolls and baddies that get put in our games and the struggle to escape elo hell than diamond+ players effortless coordinated teamfights and 200 APM combat going so fast nobody knows what is happening.
In season 2 or 3 we won a 2v5 ranked with a Kata, Rengar. 3 of my team mate left the game near 10 min just because they could not stay alive for a second. That game was sooo memorable.
I imagine the Eureka of this chanel was. "What if a writter described a league game with the weirdest funnest metaphors" nah not good enough. "What if it's said by a robot voice and due to no commas it just sounds like he's constantly out of breath while making said metaphors."
The game seriously buckles down on giving me the absolute worst off meta teammates when I go for promos, or people who just straight up throw because I am in them. Ive had ashe supports, morgana who doesnt buy support item, and the list goes on. Some serious whack shit.
You fucking did it Rav yeah man! Been watching Heiz and Rav videos for a couple months and really got sucked into this climb to get you out of hardstuck gold for the first time.
GJ Rav, i am very happy for ya man, i too got to Gold 4 after 3 seasons , only for me to have to learn the game again bcs of the new season, i whish u luck man! Keep it up
Quite a contrary Platinum is Hell in Wild Rift Literally. Matchmaking is STUPID. YOU cant invite silvers yet yout get Queued up with 4 of them vs. 3 gold and 2 plats in the other team. How can you enjoy a game like that?
This is why I just... don't play ranked. I finished Iron 1 even though I know my skillset is more like Silver 3 because I only ever did my placements and gave tf up. I would like to find a support who can duo bot with me because I want to get back into maining ADC, but it's impossible to find someone like that. Whenever I do, they always hit on me once they find out I'm a "girl gamer" (not a girl but still) and it makes it difficult to play with them. I hate the whole League community.
