So there's a lot of times when I use the --no (subject), it still puts it in the image. In some cases even more so. Would you be able to explain why that happens?
It can be hit and miss at times. Try adding more words to describe what you don't want but also try a descriptive word in the prompt itself, like a "barren forest --no trees" could be an example of positively describing somethings absence. Otherwise, removing in the editor / vary region might be the best bet for difficult negative words.
