Is there a way to use a single prompt EQ field to fill in multiple spots? For example: if I wanted their name to appear in multiple parts of the document but only want them to enter their name once.
Follow the steps below: 01. Open a blank document. 02. Click Developer tab > Controls group > Legacy Tools control > "Legacy Forms" gallery > insert a text form field. 03. Right-click the text form field > select Properties. 04. Take note of the name in the Bookmark box. It is by default 'Text1'. Leave it as it is. 05. Ensure 'Fill-in enabled' and 'Calculate on exit' is checked. By default they are checked. Leave it as it is. 06. Go to the spot in your document where you want to repeat the content. 07. Press CTRL + F9 simultenously > type REF Text1. 08. Developer > Restrict Editing. 09. Editing Restrictions > Check Allow only this type of editing in the document. 10. Set the dropdown to Filling in forms. 11. Click on Yes, Start Enforcing Protection. Type a name in the form field and press TAB. Word will populate the REF Text1 field with the name you entered in your form field.
