My forearm hurt after chin ups. I read a lot and watched a lot of videos trying to identify the problem. I identified the muscle, but was not sure. This video helped me verify the hurt muscle, and taught how to fix it. It worked! Thanks a lot! Your videos are great: clear, simple, to the point. Excellent work.
Wow. Just incredible. I have been searching far and wide for the answers to what was wrong with my arm, even to the point of considering expensive MRI's and surgery. Nowhere among all the so-called anatomy "experts" and orthopedic surgeons did I find anything like this. I learned everything about rotator-cuffs, impingements, long heads, short heads, distal tendons, tears, ruptures, brachii and brachiradialus... but nothing like the what I found here. Thank you for that.
This is simply Amazing! I wasn't even sure if this was my issue so I did not expect much. Resolved muscle tightness on day 1, doing two sets of technique 1 over the course of half a day - i.e first set at noon, second set in the evening. On day 2, did another couple of sets of the same technique spaced similarly apart and the result is impressive! I look forward to my workout tomorrow with the pain and discomfort gone. My most sincere Thanks to you, Coach!
Damn, I did the 1st exercise he told us and the pain like an 8 on the 10 scale on the 1st rep. And then it just went back slowly to a 1. I think I found the trouble area and the way to stretch it! :D
Wow Ray had this pain for six months just found this. Helped me a lot. All the best for your match with Ryan. I admire both of you so maybe it will be a tie :)
Amazing thank you, thank you, thank you, ...have suffered from this pain for almost a year , I have seen physios that fix the problem for a day or two but your advice I can use for life
That was excellent. He even has you start strengthening with static and then eccentric as per the literature on such injuries in other regions of the body. Well done all the way around. BTW, I also do the release technique by pressing proximal to the elbow as well, as there is some bit of muscle belly there just after it is tendonous attachment to the the epicondyl. It also , due to crossing the elbow, has a flexion assistance component and rehabbing in extension even if shoulder recruitment takes place, may help but with lighter resistance to avoid impingement at the shoulder. Alternatively, curl exercises would involve all the elbow flexors and the pronator teres would rehab along for the ride, in addition to the strength training you assigned. Excellent video. Thank you.
Hello can you slightly let me know what did you do to heal your pronator teres besides what he recommend, I can’t even do biceps curls and twisting my forearm make it more pain , please help
Watching all of these videos. My right arm is messed up bad... Forearm and biceps are tight and painful and I have my first tourney in a few weeks' time.
Thanks again for these videos. I am definitely needing some nerve glide help. I've been doing lots of stretching these last two days. I think perhaps I have tension in the ulnar and medial nerve as well as pain in the elbow area. I swim in very cold water and wonder if the nerves contracting due to the cold, while I stretch into the breaststrokes could cause irritation, or whethere it's the tightness caused by arm-wrestling, bouldering and fitness exercises without appropriate stretching🤔?
@@iuhnew Well, I just keep stretching, particularly the ulner nerve exercises, but I am still working on it. I have less irritation right now but I still get pinging in my wrists when making certain movements.
How soon after injury should I be doing these exercises? A doctor friend of mine recommended 4 weeks of absolute rest. Some say recovery workout, but it hurts when I try to do the exercises. I get pain in the medial epicondyle just from straightening my arm, even without flexing
I injured my elbow 2 months ago while doing some shoulder exercises (have torn labrum)... pulling an exercise band. Now, it hurts A LOT when I grip and lift anything over 2 pounds. This release seems to help a bit, but the pain is still there. My symptoms don't seem to match tennis, or golf elbow. Do you mention some other things I can look into? I'm an archer, and I've missed bow hunting season due to this new injury. It's really affected my strength, and the pain is constant. Btw, the torn labrum hasn't had surgery yet, and it's about a year old.
Thanks for the great techniques! Do you think using lifting straps for a couple of trainings would help to minimize the pain and not bother the healing process?
I just learned how to crochet 4 years ago and just notice my inner elbow in this area hurts and sends pain all the way down to finger tips and there is a big not on both arms there and there getting bigger and more painful so its this muscle too tight
Hii, can someone tell me if forearm numbness and tingling is dangerous? Im a pole dancer who recently did a movie that requires forearm and it’s been 2 weeks my forearm is numb and when there’s a bulging vein when I touch it kinda gives this electric shot feeling but there’s no pain. Hospitals in my town are not attending unless im dying which it makes very difficult to know my problem…
Thank you so much. I hurt myself in the gym because I change Hand position at side Delt training because of tennis arm. Because of that I hurt the Pronator Teres and could not get an appointment for a doctor. So with the help of Chat GPT and Google Image search I figured out which muscle I hurt. And then I found your Video. Fantastic times we live in.
Hi Ray, after doing this the 2nd time I got a weird tingling feeling in my ring and pinky finger, probably stretched a nerve, what should I do? Thank you in advance
Major question! So when i start getting elbow pain, and I rest it, will that make it stronger??? Or is it permanently damaged? I have major pain from pulling on the table and just want some closure as to if its permanent.
I can tell u, my left arm pronator got fucked by full range motion. Now i cant move 1kg without pain. Please train pronator slow and controled. And warm up
Bro i have pain in this area not while training but afterwards like 2-3 hours. It happens during pull ups. Should i continue training and lower the intensity or should i completely stop?
