I hate sports tbh and having people use it as a way to continue their broader point of removing my rights makes me hate it more

I don't care about it mostly because it's sports. Sports don't vote, sports doesn't legislate, sports doesn't save lives or kill people. By its definition, sports is ephemera. The same people quacking about trans women in sports are also furious about realistic cis women or brown faces in videogames - because it's exactly the same prioritisation of aesthetics in ephemera over utility.

My fave is the skateboarder who complained about a trans woman beating her, when they were both beaten by a 10yo cis girl. Like, honey, you were beaten by a child, the trans woman isn't your issue.

My blindspot is the prison thing, I need more information about that but its hard to find because there is so much misinformation about it. Exactly my opinion as well. Sports are just pointless, silly games that have no impact on real life. The points are not real. Whether you win or lose, nothing happens. But there is a huge entertainment industry surrounding sports that has brainwashed the population into believing that sports are incredibly important, that the teams represent YOU and your people, that it's patriotic to cheer for your team. Athletes are treated like war heroes. They even play the national anthem before the games for some arbitrary god damned reason. Imagine if they did that before a movie plays in a theater, or before a Taylor Swift concert. It would be absurd. But everybody treats this like it's normal and amazing, because sports have become basically a huge corporate religion. Complete with the profits, the bigotry, the scams, the tribalism, the violence, and the hatred and hostility toward anyone who doesn't believe in it or worship their gods. Another ridiculous thing about the sports issue, is this bogus concern about keeping competition "fair." There is NOTHING fair about sports. Some people are born biologically advantaged for certain activities. Some people are born with conditions that mean they can basically not even participate. Some people are taller. Some sports are literally impossible for some people to play because it can't exist in their country's climate, or the sport is too expensive that hardly anyone can afford to play it. If you even want to think about playing professionally, you better be born in the right place, know the right people, get into the right schools, get picked by a talent agent. If you wanna get paid the big bucks, you better be male and play in the men's league, because women pro athletes get paid a fraction of what men make. And then, if you become a big celebrity, they start putting you in movies and stuff even though you can't act your way out of a paper bag. You can even do crimes -- rape somebody, kill somebody, and you will ALWAYS have crowds of adoring fans who insist you are innocent and make excuses for you.

pointing the problems with the definition of woman might undermine it, or makes us realise how wrong we are to think it is strong to begin with, when it isn't. adult human female is not a strong definition, as there are countless exemples showing how feable it is. there are non-adult women, like teens whose birthday to adulthood approaches, of which it isn't necessarily 18 yo, depending on the country they live in. there are non-human women that you and others unarguably consider women: Galadriel the Elf queen, Gamora the green-skinned alien, Lucy the Australopithecus, android/robot women, etc. and there are non-female women, from people with various types of intersex conditions to ones that suffered accidents impacting their reproductive organs, chest, etc. so why not add transwomen as well? why draw the line at an artificially constructed prejudice?

To ask someone to use certain pronouns is a request, and to refuse to do so is impolite. Just as someone can ask you to call them by their name as a request, and you instead calling them "stinkyhead" is impolite. They don't want to be called stinkyhead, and if you don't head their request you'll likely receive social sanctions for it. Your free speech is intact, nobody is forcing you to say anything you don't want to, but being impolite to people especially in public settings is largely frowned upon in modern society.

The caller started in the first few seconds being aggressive and trying purposely to poking at the hosts in a way they presumably knew was "low key" but clearly wanted a response so they could pretend to be the rational person. They then went on to continue trying to get a response. It's asking for more from the minority than you expect from yourself and claiming the minority is the one with the issue as a call. And you can see the hosts saw it literally in the first few seconds. The caller was hoping for a response and then pretended to be surprised when they got one.

I suppose I understand that most of his life his beliefs have been unsupported so the recent shift in politics is likely a bit empowering, but I don’t think that justifies his actions at all. All humans begin as female. There are various stops on the birth train. Not everyone ends up labeled properly at birth. Not to mention girl or boy are not the only type of babies being born.
