Same here! I always thought it was a bit odd the degree some go to for the sound of a keyboard. I get mine in the ballpark but I’m not knitpicking every frequency of every click especially because I wear headphones at some point each time I sit at my desk.

A lot of people have open back headphones that block sound like that. Or they don't use headphones all the time, and switch to speakers from time to time. Or just like to type in silence without anything playing.

Well, it doesn't make them feel like membrane ones (or, to be more precise - rubber dome ones), the dampeners inserted into the casing do not alter the feel of the keys. And also - everything about keyboards is the matter of preferences: some people prefer silent and linear thocky mechanical keyboards, some prefer the opposite case - keyboards with loud and rich clicking sound. There are people who prefer the soft feeling of rubber domes and some people that like low-profile laptopy keys like ones in Apple Magic Keyboard. And I think that it's great that in recent years the market of keyboards got much more diverse than it used to be, kind of like how it looked like in the 80s except for the fact that modern keyboards are much more affordable compared to how they were priced in the 80s

????? I’ve put pe foam between my plate and pcb before, you literally just push the switches through the foam and it makes the holes, the pins don’t get bent as they easily stab through

No, since it's not added into the switches themselves. In order to make the keyfeel more mushy - you need to dampen the stems or other parts of the assembly, as it's done in CherryMX Silent for example

yup. must have modded/swtiched out the stabilizers. Its absolutely possible he made it sound like this but the list of mods is misleading.

I like the sound of creamy but loves the feels of blues, you can't have it all.
