It does make a difference that she doesn’t do a full face and does voiceovers. No chatty GRWM really cuts time. Plus so many channels do “trying new products” or reviews. I love this channel because it is straight forward technique based.

I recently did your trick with applying a black cream base shadow before applying a glitter for even more impact. It worked beautifully. I appreciate you so much!! Smitha, here's a problem I always have. How to pick the right foundation color! I have bottles, tubes. pans, of different foundations, and none of them feels right. My real wish is that makeup companies would sell sample tester cards so I actually could try it at home. Regardless, what is the best way for me to decide on a color at the drugstore, for example?

If you have a place like Ulta, go there and they will help color match you. Sephora can do the same thing, but Ulta carries the drugstore brands as well as the high end brands, so it depends on your budget.
Try mixing your foundation. I use medium tan and deep Doll 10 full coverage and blend the two to get a match, as my skin tone changes through the year, adding more of the deep in the summer months or just using the medium tan in the winter. You can also use the different shades for contouring.
