This news has been floating in the air for a very long time. If there was substance in this allegation, he would have been in jail long ago. He has been pulled up by the courts for lesser offences. A Gujarat court went to the extent of suspending him from his LS membership for something he said in a political speech. If BJP had smelled blood, they would have definitely gone for the kill. BJP had said that they would Robert Vadra in jail as soon as they came to power. That case hasn't made much headway even after ten years.

The court didn't disqualify him. Court sentenced him for 2 years and that sentence automatically disqualify him for any elected post. The sentence is now suspended. Raga was always been a shady character. Starting from the news of his Colombian gf and the news of him being taken into custody in US airport. AJL and youngindian issue, tjis british citizenship issue- nothing was denied by RG. He should at least make a statement re this. No clarification.

There wasn't even a single sentence in the long judgement to explain why he was awarded the maximum punishment. The SC found it ridiculous. What if he has Columbian girlfriend? Why should he respond to gossip mongers? British citizenship? Is India a banana republic that it can't find out if he has one? If he had one, rest assured BJP would have thrown him out of the parliament long ago. Mud slinging is the favourite hobby of the IT cells these days. They can be closed logically only if the "means" of justice act jUdIcIOusly. They are investigation and the judges. Thanks to PGurus and Shri Iyer for these astounding details on the roundabout links between RG’s shell companies and the defence kickbacks, including his British citizenship. This is in addition to the National Herald scam. Yet no action then by the ruling government and none (to date) by the current government. Surely they must have known all about these deals? Let’s hope there are more incriminating details regarding Augusta-Westland that will finally result in punitive action.
