I’m in diamond and it’s the same, really frustrating because in diamond it matters even more. Instead of staying in the same rank or division it tries to throw me down 3 ranks

All ranks are verified by using multiple tracking sites. If the rank they provided is fake it will be changed to their real rank

This is pretty true. diamond players just have more knowledge of the game thats what really separates them and makes them seem more consistent. They know more about the metas, the combo ults, the counters, the maps, health pack locations understand their roles and don’t have a problem playing it to the scope of enabling their teammates and typically cooldown and ult tracking is fairly good. Its one of those the more you play type things. Anything after diamond 3 you’re probably really good mechanically.

@@bad.D I watch diamond players play in gold lobbies (when I coach my players I force them to make a smurf to try and carry) they actually don't shit over the lobby as expected because diamond is not good. At best they do well. Honestly everything below diamond looks like bronze and noone knows how to carry unless they're GM.

@@kaicho_san Smurfing not with the intent of stomping lower ranked players, but to learn a carry playstyle. Too many players just autopilot and rely on their team to play well to win. Once they learn to carry and push their limits they will get better and smurf at their real rank too.

Pretty much. Not very rewarding feeling, when getting rolled 3-0 is worth as much as losing 6-7. It should feel rewarding if your team plays well, but still losses

Haha I wish. 8/10 games regardless of what role I’m on my output is higher than the other people on that role in the lobby. Especially when I’m on support. But I’ll admit I’m not hardstuck. I personally just don’t play a lot of comp. I climbed from silver to diamond in 2 seasons on my main, and almost masters on an alt after a 70% win rate in quick play into a 5-1 placements.

overwatch 1 was the same though. Rank based on wins not skill. But I agree, while I understand people saying to focus on yourself and not your team and eventually you will climb because other players get the same type of players when they climb but they manage to climb out. The problem is, it takes too long to climb out when you go on a 8 game win streak and then suddenly manage to get a 15 loss streak because of leavers, throwers, or people who are just useless at the game. It should be based on what you did in the game i.e on support how many players saved, healing, damage, elim per life and ult usage should determine how well you played. Regardless of what anyone thinks, if I as a zenyatta saved our whole team from an ult with transcendence and then our mei forgets they have ult and then we just all die in overtime when we could have won if they just used ult. I + 3 other players get punished for their mistake, which is bs. Rank based on wins being dumb, you pretty much hit the nail on the head.

Im sayin these people act like the aim assist is a literal lock on or sum. Ill get my screen randomly dragged a little time to time when i used played with aim assist but it would just end up makin me miss slightly where id think i hit

I mean it didn't seem that crazy honestly, like the guy has really good tracking but at the same time if you notice his turning speed is really slow. Probably this guy is just playing on low sensitivity.

That’s what I was thinking. The dude was flicking away to reload which from what I heard (I play pc) is not a console thing.

I had a hanzo do 200 damage 0 elims and 18 deaths in 1 game. And no, he never left the game he was there the whole time. And he was with us in the team fights firing arrows, just not hitting anything lol. And this was in a plat lobby.... Boosted bronze account probably, I have never seen a dps get flamed so hard even the enemy team is flaming him. I don't think I will ever forget that hanzo player, it was shocking.

I'm fairly certain Blizzard did something weird with competitive in OW2. My tank went down from diamond to gold at launch, then my support went from silver to diamond. My gold tank lobbies are harder than my diamond support lobbies. Made a new account and did placements for tank and I was already diamond again within 12 matches.

Me as dps que. My open que is still diamond atleast because I can swap to counter majority of enemy team. But still hard to Carry every match.

Stats don’t matter as much as timing. If your team is rolling the lobby stats wise but isn’t able to capitalize at certain times (this mainly applies to escort/hybrid maps, flashpoint not as much) then you can def still lose the game

It does, but not nearly as much as you think. It only slightly slows your aim in an area around a target. Which is basically just to compensate for the fact that a joystick is tiny and it's really difficult to have micro movements, so it enables players to have micro adjustments despite having larger/broader movements on the joystick. It also doesn't really trigger past a certain distance unless you're playing Ana/Widow. So if you ever see console players hitting somewhat long shots, then it's done without aim assist. Aim assist also hurts more than it helps with projectile heroes. I have aim assist turned off for Hanzo and I generally have a 30% accuracy on him

@@RealEllenDeGeneres I'm a T100 hitscan player and the only time I ever get diffed hard in a hitscan 1v1 is in QP lobbies by a console crossplayer. Not even OWL players are able to kill me in the way controller players can. There's a reason crossplay doesn't exist in OW, it changes the way you have to play the game, sort of like how you can win against hackers but you have to avoid taking the close range aim duel.

@@arigatou7483 If you're going against the top console players, chances are they're also using a mouse. Many of the top players on console cheat this way unfortunately. The best controller players with aim assist are comparable to the best mouse players without aim assist though. It's the whole point of having aim assist. To balance the game to work equivalent to using a mouse when using a joystick

Idk man i played on console and instantly shot up to diamond 1 when I moved to pc

@@Iznoot nah, I played console hit diamond 4 close to Diamond 3, but stopped playing, switched to Pc and wound up in silver as I had no prior pc experience, and jumped straight into comp after getting a little comfortable on m and k I’m Platinum now though, hoping to hit Diamond again as I never got my diamond role challenger title due to a few losses after not being on for a while

@@Iznoot tbf these days unranked starts in diamond so if you can win the matches you get diamond or higher in your first 5 matches. My friend was 5-10 and got Plat 2 for dps and 5-2 got Diamond 5 on tank then like 5-3 and got Gold 1 on support with a new account and on his main he's about gold everything occasionally dipping into plat.

Nah I think it’s only disabled in quick play when there’s pc players in the match. Stupid rule considering the mouse players already have an advantage, then they handicap the controller users too.

He used the rankdle website. You have to upload your clip there and just wait. He doesn’t pick. it’s random and changed daily.

the website is rankdle, you can submit your clip there but whether it will be included someday or not up to them rankdle it's not related to jay3 or anyone else
