My portfolio doesn’t just cater to dividend stocks. I hold $VFIAX (S&P 500 index fund) in my Roth IRA and $VTI (Total Stock Market ETF) in my taxable brokerage account. Two of my largest holdings. The individual dividend stock positions all complement the index holdings.

I own mostly VOO, VUG, and SCHD as well as a handful of my favourites: Amazon, Walmart, Visa, CNQ, Tesla, and Eli Lilly. I must say , I love dividend investment getting those payment in is one of the best feelings ever! From what I've witnessed it all comes down to having an investment Adviser to handle your portfolio. Awesome video Ari! I invest in ETFs that track index funds unlike you. I have $161K invested in total but I have 515 shares of SCHD as well. So my strategy is to have 33% SCHD, 33% QQQ and rest 34% divided into SPY and cash to sell cash secured puts. I am generating $400-$1000 a month from dividends and options premium combined. I also make content on RU-vid and love the segment when you bring guests on your channel but this portfolio update videos are my favorite.

Sweet! Luv VTI. Very nice! I own a lot of VTI while back. I sold them all & took profit and brought ton of growth stock. I went all in on the growth stock; I loaded them up like no tomorrow with a 18-wheels pickup truck. The growth stock went up nicely so far. Someday, I may sell this growth stock and reinvest back into VTI. At the moment, I own 185 shares of VOO.

Already heavily invest into tech through SCHG and a few individual holdings. Probably not smart to add too much more tech for my portfolio at this point. Dividends from SCHD are typically taxed at the qualified dividend rate, which may be lower than ordinary income tax rates for many investors. However, the main focus for markets now is Nvidia, which has powered a large chunk of the S&P 500’s recent earnings. Nvidia’s stock, up more than 90% this year, rose 2.5% in New York on Monday, sending the Nasdaq 100 index to another record high. Grats on record breaking this month Ari! You are on your way. To me APPL is a hold very long term if not for life. I bought back in 2014 and been DRIP and buying fractional shares every now and then, I enjoyed the split a while back. It is the best company right now IMO. My best performer at 440% increase all time. It made me look at growth stocks that don’t pay dividends which I ended up buying some AMZN a few years ago. I try to stay away from those non dividend payers but there are a few that command my attention. Happy investing!

I have a Question for anyone that chooses respond: I’m tempted to start investing in either DGRO (because it’s well diversified) or DGRW (because it gives monthly dividends) but the dividends yields are low for both these ETFs. Is it worth it for either given their low yields or do yawl prefer sticking to SCHD which I plan to, I also have “realty income “, and focus on other higher yield stocks like KO and others?

If you want "real income" try covered call etfs. Most pay you monthly and they just keep building and paying every month no matter if you put more in yourself or not.

It's a common misconception that when a stock you buy skyrockets, the smart thing to do is sell it (or at least sell some of it) to lock in your profits. But the context matters. If the stock has increased sharply because the business is performing exceptionally well, it could still be a bargain. You can't sleep on the pure power of letting time build up those dividend snowballs! Over a 5-10 year period, you can earn yourself a ton more shares, which is more dividends, which is then more shares, repeat repeat, make that money!

I understand you're trying to pick apart what you like and want to keep and what you don't like. But that's not how my portfolio works. Invest as much money as you can safely that you don't NEED to spend so you can enjoy it later on in life. You can start with one simple stock which covers everything and that's the S&P 500 ticker symbol VOO. That will be a good start for you investing and dividend wise. Put as much money as you can in there and don't touch it over time and watch it grow and change your life.

I bought enough shares of QYLP such that the dividend buys a another share each month in a Trading 212 pie. Is this a horrible idea. Ive never heard good things about this fund, but I might be right, but as far as I can tell no one else is doing this; on line at least. Am I missing something (apart from brains) If QYLP remains at 0% growth per year, I still get the, close to 10% dividend each year

My advice to everyone is this : if you want to grow big this year especially in your finances. Be willing to take risks. Saving is great but taking risks puts you on a pedestal where you wouldnt have to worry about savings as you do now. Thanks to Mrs Helena Crouse, my portolio is doing really great and im proud of the decisions i made last year
