Maya became more like Riley to protect her, and becoz she became like Riley it would be hard not to fall for someone like Lucas, that's why Riley fell for him so fast and after maya became like her so did she. +Simone Diez Thank you! I forgot to point that out, but you are totally right. Lucas always seems to compliment Riley differently than Maya, but always seems to compliment Maya the same as Riley. However, this is not full proof, it stops hints who Lucas likes more. Although I think it would be kind of weird for Maya to be Riley's aunt, I still think her and Josh would be a great couple.

Like when she was talking to Ava about her parents she new it wasn't her fault. Or how when she was being pressured into vandalizing the park but she didn't because she new she was better than that. I think she liked Josh because throughout the hole show she never stopped likening him. And she never felt she wasn't good enough for him.

Gillian A I feel like Maya had more going on and more things to go through on the show, so giving her too many love interests would hinder the creation of her character. And of course Riley struggles with different things, but she had more room for multiple love interests.

Most of the show was about Maya tho. Especially in seasons two and three which is 2/3 of the show. So... no, I wasn’t upset when Riley got to actually be the main character that she was supposed to be
