I saw a video of Bill Stevenson(drummer of Black Flag, Descendents, ALL) says this is the best song ever written and that Propagandhi is the best band in the world. The video is still on RU-vid and it’s really cool to hear such a great musician as Bill is in his own right heap that kind of praise on another band. Pretty awesome.
I heard this song a few months before my dog passed away. It both helped me finally get over losing my cat five or so years before that (it was sudden.) but I didn't shed a year when my dog passed to cancer, it helped me be strong with my other family members who were really struggling (she was an awesome dog.) The song somehow let me warp that pain and sadness into more positive feelings knowing that the amount of pain I felt over it was a good thing and something rare that should be treasured. Edit: The songs about the singers cat, although with Propaghandi's history the value of his cat's life is very much equal to a person if you've followed them much.
Hell yeah guys. One of their best tracks and a big reason Supporting Caste is my favorite album from them. It came out at a time where every single track musically and every word written and sung by Chris and Todd just resonated so deeply and made it so that I wasn’t so alone in my feelings. The parts about losing his cat just destroy me every time. I’ll be forever grateful to them for creating this masterpiece of an album. As you touched on Joel, there’s definitely a few things going on here that are all tied together by the theme of love giving existence meaning.
I love Propagandhi. Since today is the last day of the open comment requests, I'd like to add " Mississippi Goddamn"- by Nina Simone, "Holy Mountain" by DJ Khaled, "Eclectic Electric" by Primus, and "Death or Fight," by The Star Fucking Hipsters. Sorry, I know I requested a lot this round, but I missed the last window. Thanks guys. You guys are awesome. This is my favorite RU-vid reactor channel, and definitely on my top 5 most watched channels period.
Yes it's about Chris's cat. This has to be in my top 5 gandhi songs. My vibe is that he talks about losing a family member and then bring the same comparison to losing an animal. Which is a family member to that person. Being such animal activists its that you can love animals so much but are willing to eat and kill animals
Wicked review, Bois. Always loved this song; so much meaning. Glad you guys got to this one by Props. Can't remember if we're still doing comment requests still but are you guys able to look at Comply/Resist by Propagandhi?
Great song! Just wanted to let you guys know that you never finished Strung Out's album 'Exile in Oblivion'. You never got to the last 2 songs. I understand you guys are probably constantly under time constraints but just letting you guys know that those last 2 songs would be great reactions. My favorite 2 songs on the album! You guys are dope. Keep it going
They did do them but the videos got messed up and instead of redoing them as a second time listening video, they did two other Strung Out songs from different records as a make up for the mess up. I asked them about this at the time as well.
