Never had an issue with Boveda packs. I even rehydrate them using distilled water. Never caused mold. May range a few percentages one way or the other but my cigars smoke fine so id dont sweat small changes.

I stopped using those gel containers once I found Boveda packs years ago. Never could find the right amount of them that would keep the humidity right. With boveda I’ve never had a problem. And I don’t see how they can affect flavor. Humidity will affect flavor yes. But the packs themselves, I don’t understand that. I calibrate my hygrometer at least twice a year. I use 65% packs and temperature stays around 71 to 74 degrees. The humidity in my humidor stays between 65 and 68%. As far as sticking the pack in a box of cigars because it won’t fit in your humidor. That’s not the packs fault. Cigar boxes aren’t made to be used as humidors. They don’t seal like a humidor. You want the whole box in a humidor. Of course you’re going to lose humidity that way.

🤔 I wonder I am at a higher altitude so I wonder if that plays a factor...🤷‍♂️

@@thecigarcollector5226 possibly, IDK. I use the 65%, 320g packs, six of them in a cabinet humidor and the humidity runs 62-66% depending on the temperature.

Xikar sells a similar product. I have it… never tested it though. Seems like my Boveda 65% work fine for now… I have a tight seel on my tupperdores and air them out once every two weeks. Think eventually you will have to refill it with some distilled water as the solution contains propylglykol (anti funghi, basically alcohol but odorless) and I can’t remember if water evaporates quicker or glykol… you’ll have to check that out brother. Anyway, as they say, use what works for you 😉👍 Ps. Bovedas can be refilled.

We keep our house in the 60's. My boveda's are either 65 or 69% and they stay within 2% of whats listed on the pack

Hi Rick👋 where are you located ? These don't work and I suspect it's because of the elevation level of where I am located🤔

boveda states that the number on the bag isnt what your humidor will be, the 72% will get you to 68ish.

These don't work very well in high humidity places. In my experience, if you are in a high humidity area, boveda works well. In dry places, those work very well.

Are you sure your cigars not tasting good or being dry it is boveda's fault? I use boveda for 6 years now and they work like charm to me. I have more then 400 Cuban Cigars that look oily and great!

Dude you’re talking about mold but you’re using too high of a percentage. 69 and 72 is too high. Boveda should be 62% or 65% at the most

😄....No
@thecigarcollector5226
@thecigarcollector5226 Год назад
So 65 is perfect for Aging Cigars long term you can still smoke some cigars at 65% however most do not smoke well at such a low percentage. 68%69% 70%71% and 72% are good. These numbers Should be based on your environment how dry or moist it may be. I hope this information helps and thanks a lot for watching the video God-bless

I use zero humidification in my cooler. Sits around 66% cigars smoke better then most shops I’ve smoked at.

How many times can you refill this? Also, I may write the company. I keep certain teas that I drink in a humidor with 70% humidity. I wonder if this would work with that?

*Joe cool* I have refilled these things many times and it works really well in terms of service life or lifespan I don't know I'm sure you will know by looking at it as it is wearing out it doesn't quite look the same But I think You will definitely like it and it is definitely a game changer something that actually works🙂👌

Thank you guys all for your comments So I know people who have used These things and also agrees with me that it does not work but Clearly It does work for some of you guys. So I don't think they work in a cooler environment. I keep The man cave at 71F or 72F I also believe altitude has something to do with it. Here we are 800+ feet above sea level. Let me know at what temperature you guys Keep your home at You can list it here in Fahrenheit or in Celsius Just let me know in the comment section which one it is. Also if you can find How many feet above sea level You guys are at And hopefully we can figure this out. Thanks guys I really appreciate the support from everyone😁👊
