I am explaining idiomatic chord voicings here, that are used in the style of gypsy jazz or jazz Manouche.
Of course these chords exist in other styles, too, yet - some voicings are very related to certain styles, same as the way you play progressions, be it as a soloist or rhythm guitarist.
