Proper sharpening of scissors 

Place the whetstone on a towel and lightly wet it. In accordance with the angle of the factory sharpening, place the scissors on the rough part of the whetstone so that the plane forms an acute angle with the surface of the stone. Sharpen in motions away from you towards the center of the stone, making sure that the entire cutting edge extends from the edge of the whetstone to its center. Then go over the fine-grained side of the stone for additional polishing.
