What a wally!! The whole house purchase hinges on his blasted TV?? Stop calling it a "cinema", it's a TV!

I didn't warm to them. Looking at the comments, I'm not the only one. Adriene is tall like an adult, but in every other aspect he's still just a toddler who is only interested in his toys.

I cringed when they wanted to put his "cinema" in that gorgeous living room in the last house. I don't even have a TV as I use my laptop for viewing now. Thanks for the upload.

So immature to buy a home just on the mere idea of it fitting your tv and stereo. The least of my worries when buying a home.

I think the neighbours will be happy they pulled out. Imagine the noise these speakers make. And I agree with everyone that it is very immature to chose a house for this exact setup.

To be fair, most of the couples in the beginning of the series didn't end up with a house. Keep in mind Phil and Kirsty are only with them for a few days. That's a very short time to find a house you like and to get an offer accepted. Most people would want more than a few days to make the biggest decision of their lives.
@privatelyprivate3285
@privatelyprivate3285 Год назад
@@Kevin-sm8pn if only that were the case on the USA version, where they either only pretend to buy one of the houses (which often wasn’t even for sale), or pretend to be shopping for one when they’ve already purchased and moved into the one they end up “choosing”.
@Kevin-sm8pn
@Kevin-sm8pn Год назад
@@privatelyprivate3285 Yeah, with House Hunters, it's a little different because the producers wanted every episode to end with a house purchase so they only have people who already closed on a house on the show. It's weird, but eh, that's HGTV or you. Although, they did also have a show called My First Place that appeared to be more realistic because it showed the process of buying a house, searching for the house, the negotiations, the inspection, the closing, any issues that the homebuyers were dealing with, etc.
@serenakoleno9338
@serenakoleno9338 Год назад
Exactly, after saying they would stretch to 400 for the perfect home! Either they did not want to move, or ended up with a less than perfect home. My guess is they regret losing the house for 15k.

Yes. I wouldn't buy a house based on whether a massive, ridiculous TV fit it, but I wouldn't date a 'man' who still puts his 'toys' first. Tall is not the same as grown up.

I'm surprised how many rooms they go into and suggest a position for the massive TV that would have sunlight on the screen. Of course, window coverings, but do you really want to sit in the total darkness to watch TV? I guess if you are insisting on calling a TV stuck to the wall a 'cinema' just because your TV's size is a penis-replacement.

British taste in houses is different from americans. To me, most interiors of these houses look very very dated and those low ceilings is claustrophobic. The standard ceiling height for me is about 9 feet.

@juanluzzi5267

But on the other hand, a big number of houses in the USA are not made to last, and people there will have to adapt to smaller places. Those huge houses demand too much energy, the planet just can't cope with that.
@schatzeeone6230
@schatzeeone6230 2 года назад
@@juanluzzi5267 That’s not necessarily true. Nearly all newer American homes are built to be energy efficient. I live in the northern Midwest, where temperatures in January and February rarely get above 15 degrees Fahrenheit and spring doesn’t come until the little of May. Heating my 3000 square-foot home from October to May runs me $800 in gas. As far as being made to last, why would you want them to? These aren’t historic dwellings in any way. Tear them down after a few decades and build something new. It’s the older homes that are the least efficient.
