My wife reached out to her friend and told her that we would like to help her clean up her yard & get it ready for spring. We didn't tell her how much it would cost, I just came and did it. She said she's willing to pay but you guys know me... I like to be a blessing to people. Maybe i'll just tell her to give whatever amount to my wife (like as a tip or something?). I'm not sure yet. I need your advice :)
They left on a vacation and are coming back soon just in time for the warmer weather. I hope they like the results :)

Quick tip from a 20+year lawn care tech. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR GRASS LONG OVER WINTER!!! Long grass will hinder the new growth in the spring. It will take longer for your lawn to "green up" as we say. But most importantly, it is a HAVEN for snow mold. Snow mold can damage your grass. It will recover but why let it exist? When you mow the last time in the fall(try to mow as late as you think you can) mow it short. Really short. Won't hurt your lawn at all. Your grass will be better for it.

@@trinketbox4171 sorry but that's not true. At least up here in the pnw. Our roots don't live on the surface. If you take care of your lawn correctly the roots grow deep. I've been a lawn and tree tech(fertilizer/weed control/tree spray, etc...) Since 1997.

@@trinketbox4171 Kentucky bluegrass and fine fescue are the dominate grass' up here. If you mow the grass tall (3-3.5in) and water 3x a week for about an hr your roots will grow to around 6+inches deep. So yeah, not sure where you live but after 20+years as a tech I've learned some science about grass. One of them MAJOR reasons to mow short is so you don't have to "thatch" your lawn in the spring. It's bad for your grass.

Tip to prevent suction: Glue a small PVC pipe to the inside of your waste can. Same height as the side. It will allow air to get underneath the bag as you pull it out. No more fighting to get the bag out.

@@LordKroc yes, you can do that. But then it will not hold water and leak out if the bag rips. Making a mess on the floor of your garage, patio, or wherever you store the can. My tip is also useful for indoor kitchen cans.

Fill, great job! I really want that broom thingy attachment; that is so cool. Just an FYI, please be sure to lock your truck and all of your equipment up all of the time, even if you are right by it. Al Bladez lost a gas string line trimmer because he forgot to lock it up and it took just a minute for someone to steal it when his back was turned. I would hate to see that happen to you as well. Keep up the fantastic work.

Hi Fill, saw how you nada hard time pulling that stuffed garbage bag of leaf debris out of the can.Drill a couple of holes in it and the bags will not only come out easier, but will go in easier without having to fight the air in the can. Like watching all your work.

That looks great. I was surprised at the amount of leaves. It didn't look like there were that many. I had to laugh when you were fighting to get the bag out of the can. Looks like me trying to get the garbage bag out. And those rock borders are just like my kitchen floor. It looks beautiful...for about 2 minutes. Of course, there's always the sneezing! Aren't spring molds and mildews fun? Really nice cleanup.

Great cleanup! I've seen that if you drill one or two little holes in the bottom of your plastic garbage can, the plastic bags full of leaves and debris will come right out - no shaking and bouncing.

Bless you! Lol! If you drill a little hole in the side of the trash can, near the bottom, you can get the bag out much more easily. Slap a piece of duck tape over the hole (from the inside), and the can will again hold liquids. Excellent job!

Great job Fill! If you haven’t tried this already, drill some 1/8” or 1/4” holes near the bottom of your Brute trash cans and it will help those full trash bags slip right out of the trash can.

Good time to own your blower. That was enough leaves to cause some lawn growth troubles. That was a nice cleanup in the front. Ready for Spring, looks sharp. I liked the work in the backyard. You couldn't really see the design, until the order was put back in. When the edging was cleared, garden trash removed, objects ordered, it became a place you could see was intended to be pleasant and a place to relax in. Nice work.

Looks great my brother. Don't know if you do it , but you might want to carry a bag of a complete change of clothes including socks and shoes in case your get wet or very soiled. You did such a nice job on this yard. I hate rock yards. They never look nice, the rocks are hard to walk upon, and the rocks always end up in the grass. They are a lazy man's yard. (Exceptions are people who live in deserts. They are a necessity there. Hopefully they will plant more flowers and shrubs to add some life to that yard.

Wow that was a good one. I like that you pick up the leaves and grass then bag and dispose them. The majority of other lawn guys just cut and blow back to grass and it looks bumpy. You are doing great job even rearranging thumbs up
