SDA sees the written works by Ellen White as "a continuing and authoritative source of truth which provide for the church comfort, guidance, instruction, and correction," To follow Ellen White is not biblical
We don't follow her -- it's the inspired instruction and devotional material that the Holy Spirit inspired her with that we relish second only to the Holy Bible -- we should only follow Jesus Christ!
children of Israel rejected the prophets, john the Baptist was rejected. how bout Christ Himself? most didn't recognize the very one they claimed to be waiting for, many are still waiting for the messiah. test of messenger from God ? their message will not counter what the bible says, the bible is our map the Holy Spirit is our compass.
If it aligns with scripture and helps to explain it more clearly, then there is still the possibility of a prophet. We don’t “follow” EGW. We follow Jesus. However, EGW’s writings pass the test of whether she’s a true prophet or not. We are in perilous times. Noah preached for over a hundred years! Why wouldn’t God in His great mercy do the same as we near the close of probation?
David, I don't know what are you talking about. All I know that they have the best doctrine and clear principles...I have been in many churches, this one is the MOST correct. Their literature is also very good.
