Prime examples are after a woman gives birth, if she is physically too sick, etc. The church needs to prepare men for this or they will go into marriage feeling justified for not being faithful to their wife

You are catching what the main point was but by no means are we saying it’s solely on a wife to rescue a man from his desires however she plays a major part. That’s biblical my sister. I agree. We can’t just assume I was sex.

The Bible clearly says it was a messenger of Satan.

Sure, it wasn’t actually sex, “And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure( 2 Cor 12: 7)”. This was an opposition Paul faced every time he preached. He was a successful preacher, but he was resisted almost every time even though, God sent him.

He didn't say women deliver men from lust. He is saying don't give the devil a foothold in your relationship. When you prohibit partners from what a husband and wife should be doing you are opening a door for the enemy to attack. It not always cheating, its also fights arguments, and irritation... Most men of God fall because of the conflict in their own house.
