@@SnareMan I just got it! Interesting the black version has grey colored contrasting fabric..not orange. It hits the sweet spot - loved my Uncle Mikes for over 15 years..just got beat up..this is probably the next best thing. Some people say that it is too high..but one of the reasons I love it as I can throw in a towel grease rag if needed..and sometimes I just want to throw everything inside and jet if need be..great review!
I have a good range bag I paid about $50 with the Midway logo and it's really good. Looks exactly like this one until you open them up. This Propper beats mine hands down in the main section with those dividers.
Agrree..has to be the best range bag..some people want to take kitchen sink..not me..i shoot at the range and clean at the house..don't see why people want to bring all their cleaning gear to the range.
@@andrewminty3250 well it does exactly what it needs to. Carry's my guns, plus ammo, and my PPE. It will carry 4 firearms in there cases, 2 hearing/eye protection and a few hundred rounds of ammo. that's about as much as I can put in it.
gotta left at all the gear heads out there. looking for the old skool bag, 6 mag pouches,3 on each side, big main, shoulder strap. got about 1000 links to modified carry ons. ridiculous.
@@andrewminty3250it seems like basically only expensive range bags are made in the USA! So the answer is armynavy packs of some type. There are new packs in addition to used ones- make sure to check made in USA as most armynavy also sell chinese knockoffs. Try mcguiresarmynavy online. They have great help by phone. Good luck!
Definitely not a junk bag. I suppose velcro can wear after time, but there is some on that Uncle Mike's bag I've had for 8 years and it's still going strong. And really, I can't say I've had velcro wear out on much of anything that I own, bags, clothes or otherwise so I'm not really too concerned.
I’ve had Velcro wear out on my leatherman sheath. Onky lasted one year but it might be from it not wanting to stick after a wail and then getting mashed when I sit next to something.
That velcro is solid on the inside compartment area - stickier than snot on a cold day. The velcro at the opening is useless - meaning no one in their right mind is gonna try to use that strip.
Not a range bag but I have a camera bag made by Canon that is over 10 years old. The velcro is still as good as new. Depending on the job, I adjust the dividers to suit the equipment I am carrying. And... ha ha, currently I am using the bag my CPAP machine came in as a range bag! :)
