I've had Deep Cycle carts for several years but I've about decided I'm going to buy a Yamaha Drive 2 PTV gas cart. I know several that have bought them and these are very quiet carts as compared to the older gas carts. Most maintenance on the cart won't be hard to handle but an occasional service with the dealer will probably be required. Battery replacement cost on any electric carts has really shot up the last few years. No telling what it will be 5-7 years from now.
The lead acid batteries used in most electric golf cars now has already become obsolete. LiFePo4 is the only way to go. Don't get lithium-ion, will not last much longer than lead acid.
You forgot on lithium batteries if a single molecule of water gets inside a chemical reaction happens and causes then to catch fire. And if they do catch fire, using water to try and put them out will cause more fire and burn your house down. Yes I am a victim of that.
No different than it is on life: all things have advantages and disadvantages. But there is one thing that disturbed me about your video, since I have been in electronics all my life and know about the different batteries technologies available. The comment on the Lithium battery unproven technology and durability. Are you saying that the manufacturers, since I do not own one, are saying that they can not predict the life span of the Lithium Batteries?. I find that hard to believe.
