I was stationed at Fort Eustis, May 20, 2014 to September 27, 2018. The thing about Fort Eustis, it is a small post. Very easy to find your way around the post, by a car, you can drive the whole post in 20 minutes. The best part about the area is Yorktown and Williamsburg. Downside, Newport News is a rough area. It is nicknamed Bad News. I was back there a few months ago, after being away for 4 years. The area seemed to have got a bit rougher, and the homeless population around the area has exploded. Good and bad parts about the area.

I was stationed at Eustis 01-04. The whole battalion I was in is no longer active there. My old unit was deactivated and was reactivated in Korea.
