Is it possible to live and work in St. Augustine if you don’t drive. Can you feel comfortable walking within 30 mins. w/out being attacked by mosquitos, alligators or other pests? I live in the Pacific North West, and I have been down a couple of times, bc my daughter Anastasia is living there.

I hear you, Kelly! No doubt, there is congestion at certain times of day, in popular intersections, and in more frequently transversed locations, which can be frustrating! I'll have to mention it in my next video. From what I understand, the traffic in town is still better than a lot of other cities. There's always the option to live a little further out toward the outskirts of town.

@@TheForrestTeamatEXPRealty I don't know where you live in town, but where I live in town there's traffic every day all day at every intersection not just during nights of lights✌️ And there are definitely not mountains anywhere in Florida lol😂

This is just my opinion but the last time I visited friends in St. Augustine, the whole area was way too snobby for what you have there. There is nothing fancy there and not many charities that are so wonderful but they sure act like they are freakin fabulous. You have people who assume you do not have much because there is old money there. There are many people who depend on tourists to earn a living but still, do not look down on them. Maybe they have been owning places a while, I do not know. Here is an example of not my favourite kind of atmosphere. You got to a place like the local health store, you tell the lady you can not drink the smoothie with wheatgrass and they can not even be bothered by a simple conversation, they would rather act all full of themselves and vain. Then, you go to check out and the girl says "you remind me of Sarah Silverman" which to me was not very nice because I do not even have a potty mouth like her. And then to top it off, she says in her weird reply "well she is attractive". Now if you go to other areas where they still get lots of tourists like Palm Beach or many other regions, you do not have that kind of attitude hardly ever.

Hey there. It depends on what areas of town you are looking to reside in. There are many high and dry areas of St. Augustine. There are also areas of low elevation, like downtown and Davis Shores. If I can be of further assistance, please let me know.

@@TheForrestTeamatEXPRealty we are looking at moving in June sometime. We really want to be in St Augustine possibly have a new home built, up to about 350K, or an older home same price range. We would want to rent first so we can figure out exactly where we want to live we would appreciate your help with a rental and then a purchase. Do you recommend a new home or an older home?

Was a this a court-ordered community service. Holy crap. Do they teach economics any more? How many jobs are there? How much is a single family home? How much is real estate tax? Car/property tax? How is the traffic? Are the roads free or tolled? Is there public beach access within walking distance for everybody? Or do you need to live on the beach? Are there health clubs? Public pools? No state income tax? Nothing from nothing is nothing. If you can't get hired, you can't "save on state income tax" which is federally tax deductible anyway.

Hi there V V, if you are interested in living near St. Augustine and living on a farm, I'd recommend checking out Elkton or Hastings. A lot of residents do this and travel to St. Augustine when desired. Both are about 25 minutes of driving from St. Augustine.
