@@studycorner108 i have never tried but I know some teachers are using. It works the same. It just projects the computer screen there. I beleive you can definitely use it
Thank you for sharing all these techniques. I have a question. I notice sometime when you do handwriting on OneNote , the cursor shows up . But sometimes there is no cursor. How did you control this? I tried many times on my computer, but every time when I record my screen, the cursor doesn’t show up on the recorded video, although the cursor shows up on the computer screen. I recorded handwriting on PDF annotator , the cursor can be recorded all the time.

@@t.terrell7037 It is accurate but it takes a little practice to get used to it. Wife says it took her 30 minutes of practice in order to write clearly.
I think the program that you use to write on screen is a really important factor too. The easiest one for me is, surprisingly, microsoft edge with its annotation tool. Just set it as your default PDF reader and there you go. But recently, I started to have some problems, when I close it, it saves the annotations even if I don't want to do this. So when I start the next class, I can accidentally show answers or annotations from one student's class to another, which is really annoying. So I switched over to PDF Xchange. Both PDFxchange and microsoft edge, kind of stabilize your handwriting, some other programs kind of pixelate when you write.. Anyways.. Good video!
Just doing an update here, I have finally found my perfect set up. Now I’m using inkodo to open the PDFs, their writing tool is the best one I’ve ever used. It’s just impossible to screw up your handwriting. But you can’t open multiple tabs at once, so I use sketchpal as my board, just because you can customize the pen as you want. Both are available in Microsoft store. So, since you’re using more than one app you have to share your whole screen in Google meet or whatever plataform you use to do your meeting.

Thank you, Mehmet. This was very helpful and I liked the idea of keeping all my explanations in OneNote. Have you made any video recordings of using a tablet to write a solution? A number of my students struggle with understanding how each new line of a solution is derived from the line above it. I wondered if videoing my use of the tablet whilst recording my voice to talk through the solution might help some students to grasp new concepts sooner. Thanks again.
Hello, Just started online/distance teaching because of the pandemic.... I am going to buy a pen/graphics tablet... why did you choose this active area size (8x5) and not a lower one such as the Star G640 Sketch (6x4) .... putting aside the wireless feature.... as larger tablet cost more, is there really a value in buying a larger tablet ? (after all you can always zoom in/out as needed)...
The small ones 6x4s were created for playing OSU. However, many teachers started using it and you can do that too. I just don't feel really comfortable with that and that's why I didn't add g640 to my list. I am planning to record a review video about that soon and test all the features.

Excuse my ignorance, but I'm confused about the use of graphics tablets. If I'm using a Surface Pro or a Surface Book, both of which have touch screens, what would be the reason for my using a graphics tablet?
If you have surface, you don't need one but you can use it if you want. It is a hardware like a mouse. All laptops have touchpads but people buy mouses, it is kinda same.

Bluetooth question: If my computer is screen casting (chrome cast) will I need 1. An annotation software that operates on chrome? and 2. Will there be enough Bluetooth available to have a wireless tablet? Thank you!
You can add a chrome extention or use a website like Google keep to annotate. I didn't try casting with a tablet but it should work bcz wireless tablets have Bluetooth connections with their own USB receivers. Like a wireless mouse. You need to connect a USB receiver to work. There is Google Meet and it is free. I am using it a lot. Very similar to zoom. About the transitions you see in my video, I am using a video editor, corel videostudio.

Hi. Open the essays in Xournal app. Then use your xppen to mark it just like you do in a paper. Then save it in pdf format. Xournal is available for windows and Linux.

The PDF annotator Software I personally suggest as a teacher is Xournal. It is an Open Source Software with really cool features. I am using that Software with my Wacom Tablet for online teaching during this Pandemic.

You can anyways see in these regular tablet as well. As you hover the pen 5mm above the tablet. You will see a dot in the screen moving as you move the pen. Don't go for those screen tablets. They are very expensive.

Hi, do these tablets work on all apps on windows just like a mouse or is there some limitation? Can I use this to annotate on the zoom app's whiteboard?
I like graphics tablets better there are several reasons for this but the most important one is it is easier to write on graphics tablet surface. The friction you feel is much better and you can write better, faster, longer.
