In this video I'll breakdown 5 pros and 5 cons of living in Hampton, Virginia. This is a city that has a lot of of great things going for it, but also something left to be desired. It's far from a perfect city, but for the right people, it can be great. PCSing to a new base or relocating for a new job can always be stressful and cause anxiety. You never really know what you're going to get with a new city. Hopefully this video provides you with some good information on what Hampton is really like, and what great aspects you'll be able to enjoy, and what aspects you may need to travel outside the city for or find an alternative.

Born, raised, and spent my 1st 45 years in Hampton and everything is spot on. I left for the Raleigh Area back in 2015 because of the lack of job opportunities Hampton had. My parents still live in Hampton and I go back on occasion, and Hampton has cleaned up a lot over the past 8 years all thanks to Donnie Tuck. As far as Fort Monroe is concerned, I'm just glad that "Virginia stepped in and prevented Hampton from bulldozing Fort Monroe down/ filling in the moat and replacing it with a gated community" like Hampton had wanted to do.

I really appreciate this comment! And if anything were to ever happen to Fort Monroe that isolated it from the public, it would be an absolute travesty. It's a very special place, with lots of potential to be even better

@@movingtohamptonroads Thankfully, it's been deemed a National Historical Site back in 2011 where should be protected for future generations to enjoy; however, if the far-left is determined to demolish a historic site in their pursuit of eradicating history with the hopes of shoving communism down everyone's throats, the far-left is going to make it happen regardless of what it might cost. Hopefully, Virginia realizes what the far-left has become (At the local, state and federal levels) and vote them all out of office before it's too late.

Lived in Hampton from middle school until I graduated college and still go back frequently to visit my family who live there. This is spot on.

My husband and I have been shopping around for locations to check out to possibly move in the near future once he is done in the army. I was blown away on how many of our boxes were checked off with this area and surrounding areas! We plan to take a mini vacation to really get a a good feel of the areas. Very informative video and love the honesty!
