I’m not even in nursing school (yet) and I sat here and watched this whole thing came and went to the gym and all 😂😂 I just love your passion on this topic and just your overall personality. You’re one of the best channels on YT in the nursing community/niche I live for seeing beautiful intelligent black women in this space! 😍💞💞
This video came at the perfect time! 🩷 Been a nurse for almost 3 years (Postpartum, BSN) & strongly considering travel nursing! Can’t wait for the budgeting video girl!
Travel nursing is definitely worth trying. Even if it's for a year, I say go for it! Especially if you have the time and ability to! 🩷 The budgeting video should be out soon!
Love your video… I have been a nurse for 44 years and many years of travel nursing. One thing I do have concern is that you mentioned that you still live at home. New travelers need to be aware that in order to get housing stipends tax free… they are also supposed to have their own home they are responsible for in their home state. If they were to get audited, it could become an issue. That is part of signing on with each agency/contract. Could live at home and pay rent… but be able to prove that.
Thank you for mentioning the compact license in case someone wants to move and not just for travel nursing! I’m going into my second semester so when I graduate I will remember that bc I plan on leaving my state!!
Smart young lady! I went to my state college to get my A.A and my bsn lol now I’m at my state university getting my masters, I won’t stop until I reach the top. I started out with my LPN from high sch and let me tell you I met so many nurses with A.S and bsn and don’t even know how to do an iv or Calculate the dosage smh
I’m so glad you did this video. I just finished my first year of traveling and learned so many things. For 2024 I will not be traveling but will definitely do it again in the future.
Thank you for all this information! I am just starting my travel nurse journey! Like just gathering papers and needed documents. Plan on starting to travel in the fall of 2024.
New to your channel. Loved your content and all the information you shared. I’m definitely interested in traveling after my 2 year contract in the ER in my home state.
Thank you Dominique gurl for this informative video🙏🏽. I been looking into nursing ever since I been working as a patient sitter at a hospital. I actually just got into this nursing program. I’m so excited😁. But I’m so nervous b/c I have been in school for a couple years. So hopefully I do good 🤞🏽.
This was so informative. Thanks so much. I have one more semester left that start on January 16 and then I will be applying to nursing school. Thanks Dom for sharing 🤎
What kinds of credit cards do you recommend? And how do you manage to learn something like vent settings on the job when you have such little time for training?
At all nurses: Are you allowed to have your nails done/painted outside of nursing school? Or does it just depend on the work location, and how do you tell if you're travelling?
How was nursing school? What were the main challenges going through the program? Here at MHCC they recommend not working no more than 2 hrs in secular work to succeed in the program.
You could, but on average it costs more & im under the age of 25 so it’s a little extra for me. I’d rather pay $1000 on average to ship and have my personal car.
